Writing professionally is actually a strange combination of ego and neurosis. As writers, we have to have the ego to believe in our own work, that someone, somewhere will like it and want to actually pay money for it. But then there's that nagging little voice inside all of our heads that says, "Who are you kidding? What makes you think you have anything interesting to say or write?"
It's a neverending rollercoaster ride.
It's okay to write to just get the story out of your head. Has to be done. Otherwise the voices will drive you insane. Worry about what comes next later.
In other responses, Jessie offered to beat up your internal editor for you. It's good to have people around like her, other writers, who understand what you're going through in a way your family and friends cannot. However, if Jessie or someone like her isn't available, I suggest duct tape. Lots and lots of duct tape to keep the ol' internal editor quiet until after you reach The End.
