What do you do if you read something that you think needs a lot of work? I think this reviewer has been honest. He did not choose to be anonymous, which many, less courageous reviewers, might have done. His review is not rude or dismissive. He tried to pinpoint what he did not like. It may not be the most eloquent or detailed review, but I think it is a genuine attempt to give his opinion. If you think the rating is too low, you could e-mail wordplay , and ask him/her to explain; but I think it would probably be better just to analyse the review and see if there is any merit in it; if not - forget about it. Reviewing is a very important aspect of this website. I think we should all encourage as much reviewing as possible. If a review or rating hurts, that is a small price to pay for all the help and encouragement. wordplay may be a young and nervous member, or he may be a college professor with very high standards. He is a black case, though; you, on the other hand, are a Preferred Author. I had a very low rating a few days ago. When I e-mailed the reviewer and politely asked him why, he appologised - the rating was a mistake. Best wishes Mavis Moog ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
