I agree: work sucks and people are stupid.

I don't know why people have to start shit with other people, and why they have to play games like that. We have problems like that where I work, too. And I work at a University, where I thought it would be different because most of the people there are more "educated." But it's the same as anywhere else.

As far as advice goes..well, I'm not used to giving advice. In my situation, I try as much as possible not to get involved with that kind of stuff. I try not to develop personal relationships with the people I work with. They are my coworkers, not my friends. People say that I'm too quiet, but I just don't want to get involved in the drama that goes on.
