Drop your new ideas into the Writing.Com Suggestion Box! |
Hey there, I have a small suggestion. I was wondering if it might be possible to distinguish contest forums from other types of forums. If someone's looking for a place to hang out, for example, it can be difficult, or at least unorganized, when they have to sift through old, no-longer-in-use contest forums. I realize that the person could simply sort the search by most recently modified, but perhaps they don't want to search that way? Maybe they'd like to search for specific types of discussion forums. On the other hand, contests are a big part of what makes the writing.com community exciting and interactive. By distinguishing contest forums from other forums, it might make it easier to find new and exciting contests to participate in. Another idea might be to refine the contests listings page so that one page was full of organized folders of all the current contests available. The contest host, upon creating the contest, could set a "contest end" box and when that date passes, it could be automatically cleared from the contest listings page. That way, writing.com community members can have an easier time searching for the contest that suits their interest the most, and at the same time, contest hosts can get a little help in promoting their contests. Just a suggestion. Thanks. Philthy |
