30 exercises to help you outline the setting for your novel

How the workshop works

*Noteb* The Workshop officially opens 1 September, but you can start at any time.
     You don't need to register in advance. Just start writing.

*Noteb* There are 30 daily exercises for you to complete.
     If you plan to compete in NaNoWriMo, you should finish these before 31 October.

*Noteb* Spend at least 15 minutes working on each exercise, even if you think the prompt is irrelevant.

*Noteb* Work forward through the exercises in order without skipping any prompts.
     You can miss days -- this is a workshop, not a boot camp -- but pick up where you left off. Don't jump ahead.

*Noteb* You can do more than one exercise at a time, if you wish.
     I recommend you complete no more than two each day, so you can focus on the prompt fully.

*Noteb* When you have completed an exercise, copy your text into WW Workshop - Exercise Submission Open in new Window.
     If you use a static or book item for your notes, you can submit a link to the item instead.

*Noteb* Your exercises are not scored. The survey only records completion and creates a copy for your use.
     You can find your previous submissions by going to 'My Account' and looking under the 'My Activity' section for 'Survey Responses'.

*Noteb* You can use this forum for questions, sharing resources, networking, griping, cheering,
     or anything else you want to talk about related to your project.
