A contest for the heart season- (Poetry Contest) OPEN on FEB |
Welcome to the Ninth Annual Contest of the Search for Mr. or Ms. WDC HeartThrob Poet 2025 . Special thanks to 🌖 HuntersMoon through "Scheming Scoundrel's Forum of Finesse" ![]() ![]() ![]() Romance is in the air, and I see fluttering hearts as well as sweet words everywhere. I always been in love with words, especially poetry, for me, they are like flowers that have their own beauty, they are able to last their fragrance, and will stay in ones' heart. ![]() Some of these are: Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. . (exerpt From William Shakesphere-Sonnet 18) Or like some all time favorite love poems: "if each day, each hour, you feel that you are destined for me with implacable sweetness, if each day a flower climbs up to your lips to seek me, ah my love, ah my own, in me all that fire is repeated, in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten, my love feeds on your love, beloved, and as long as you live it will be in your arms without leaving mine. (excerpt from if-you-forget-me-by-pablo-neruda) Or like the poetry of our Mr. Heart Throb Poet 2024 here in WDC wonder Land. Remember, love, the tender dawn of days gone by, When hesitant steps ventured down paths beneath a blushing sky. But eyes met deep, a spark ignited, fierce and bright, A love's own ember, kindled by the moon's ethereal light. (Excerpt from GERVIC ![]() ![]() ![]() So I am searching now for poets who will be going to make my heart throb through scribbling words in the poetic form- Romance Genre.
