2022 ROUND WINNERS First Place: "Our Hero"  [18+]Second Place: "Invalid Item" Third Place: "Throne of Tides" [13+]Honorable Mention:"Invalid Item"  Ladies and gentlemen, it's back! Long, Long, Long has returned to reward short stories of at least 5,000 words and the writers who pour their hearts into them. As a writer of these somewhat longer pieces, I hope to find others who enjoy this level of writing as much as I do. Some of my favorite stories are longer than typical online short stories, and I want to see more of them. This is a great venue to achieve that aim. Likewise, this is an annual contest, which gives everyone time to really work on their entries.  RULES1. Only story items (fiction and non-fiction) are permitted in this contest. All stories must have between 5,000 and 20,000 words. (Yes, this is an increase from the previous incarnation's word limit.) A word count must be posted in the bottom of the static item (preferably the bottom). Entries with the word count in the brief description or entry post will be disqualified. 2. ONE item of any rating per person per round. 3. All entries must be static items with the rating displayed in the link. This allows the contest forum to maintain an 18+ rating. 4. Entries must be edited by the round's closing date. Any entries edited after that time will be disqualified. 5. Items that have won other contests or have received awards from other individuals than myself are permitted. 6. New round details will be announced in a forum post. The current round will run May 10 to September 7. Here is the more detailed information for the current round: "Round 14!"
