This is a really long branch, with almost no nodes, and it has wandered all about the place without really coming to any kind of point. Will and Caleb accidentally reveal themselves and the masks to Gordon Black; Gordon forces Will to switch lives with him, which results in Gordon being kicked out of his house and having to move in with Caleb; there were some shenanigans with masks and the football team (which in retrospect I have no idea what all that was about or why I wrote it); Will has started showing some backbone after returning to his own life; and they turned David Kirkham into a golem.
But with "A Stolen Life" and the three nodes that come after, things are not only FINALLY set up for the usual mask play, but pieces have been arranged for some good drama, specifically involving Chelsea, and Gordon's desire for a new girlfriend.
Which is a roundabout way of explaining why these chapters were such a pleasure to write. Whether they were a pleasure to read is for others to judge.
