As someone who adds to interactives, that does sound annoying.

Personally, I like keeping the various possible threads open, so that I can make an alternative branch if something didn't go the way I want (especially if I don't own the interactive). I remember a few times where I made a branch, and someone decided to close off/ mess with all the possible paths I'd made, because they didn't like the one character, or my idea. That can be rather annoying.

Still, hopefully this was an accident - those do happen - and things can be smoothed over. Sometimes with the help of the owner, things can be worked out. Although, if the owner isn't around.... In any case, best of luck.
