Neuropsychology Crime Story?
by AJHards
Hey All!

A little about me: I've always enjoyed writing and always enjoyed watching/reading crime related things; podcasts, docs, stories etc. And so, I'm currently my first ever attempt at writing my own Crime Story at the age of 29! My day job is medical, and I have always had an interest in neuropsychology.

And so, what gives my writing a bit of difference and intrigue (hopefully), is that I am combining my two interests and writing a story that will be seen through the eyes of someone with a mental disorder; DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder).

If I can give you a brief synopsis;

The story is seen through the eyes of Melanie, a 32 year old psychology graduate who was recently diagnosed with DID. She agrees to be the subject of research in return of free Psychotherapy Sessions with a renowned Psychologist, Dr. MacHenny. However their first session is cut short when Dr. MacHenny is shot. Melanie is the prime suspect.

Only two people know who the true killer is; the Killer and Sarah, one of Melanie's traumatised Alters, but Sarah is unreachable and taken herself into lockdown.

Melanie goes on a mission to find who the true killer is, prove her own and her alters innocence, all while learning about her own disorder.

What's your guys opinion on this?

In the future, I would love to make it a series in which Melanie aids police investigation with crimes in the future with her qualification and disorder.

Also any Book Name suggestions would be amazing. That's always the part I struggle with.
