Welcome back.

I have never taken a break from the site for more than maybe a week of vacation.

You are so right that the site has changed over time. I can feel it too although I was here the whole time. There seem to be ebbs and flows of activity and participation. Also, the writing trends are so different now in comparison to the things we used to write. You joined the site a year before me, but you and I used to be together in a lot of contests and activities.

Maybe we all got more busy with other things and now our old Writing.Com haunts don't feel so important any longer. And we've found other things to do.

I think Game of Thrones right now is proving that we can still all get together and write like crazy. We should take some of that momentum back to other parts of the site in May.
