Similar to Minuette. Invented by Viola Berg.

Number of Lines: 12 (2 sixains)


Rules:
Syllable count: 4-4-6-4-4-6 syllables per line
uses only one rhyme


Rhyme Scheme: xxaxxa xxaxxa

Example:

Poetry Handouts Saved Her Life For Angelina

Former student
gives me poem,
remembers my handouts
from long ago.
She wrote poem
in dining whereabouts.

She wrote verseat
moment’s notice,
recalls earlier bouts
with youth sadness.
Pen is freedom!
Poetry helped her doubts.
