Looking for a guiding light. Next round opens Feb 2025. |
"Results" Traditional narration isn't the only way to present a story. A story can come through in many forms, such as entries in a diary. This round gave you a choice of three forms to choose from. (Diary entries wasn't one of them.) ---- Guidelines ---- Round Two opened June 1, 2019 and closed at 11:59 PM (WdC time) on the 15th of July, 2019. Your story had to be between 1,500 and 5,500 words long. The chosen form had to present a detectable story, whether it was character-driven or plot-driven, or driven by mad monkeys with pitchforks. Static items, only. Proofread, edit, and revise. All ratings and genres were allowed. Your entry's title, however, needed to be at a 13+ rating or lower so that linking it here did not compromise this forum's content rating. No restrictions on editing. One entry per contestant. Previously written items were fine, but I asked you to look them over and revise them. They should not have been items that placed in another contest and have an awardicon to prove it. (Honorable mentions were allowed, awardicon or not, as were items that placed in another contest, but did not earn an awardicon.) Entry posts needed to include: —The entry's approximate word count. (Exact word counts are tiring.) —A genre link to the item, likey so: {g-item:#######}* (Please, no "b-item" links for entries.) * Linking ▼ ---- The List of Forms ---- The story that shows the very best example of how to use one of these forms to present an interesting story will be the winner. Choose and commit to a form. The entire narrative should be contained within your chosen form. The entire narrative should be contained within your chosen form. Correspondence. Letters or emails of any nature. Article(s). News, entertainment, how-to, etc. Forum/Thread. Any subject. The use of WritingML to differentiate contributors is encouraged. ---- Qualified Entries ---- "Whiskey Annie" [18+] by D.
