Sorry for any confusion - but the Review Mixer does not cost you Gift Points.
The gift points are provided by Writing.Com.

If you go into your Gift Point log and read an entry from the Review Mixer, you'll see it's explained there with the math to go along with it. Your log is linked from the "Points" menu --> "Gift Point Logs"

Here's a copy and paste snip from your log that shows the account of one review where you sent 200 GPs of our your own and the Review Mixer added 300 GPs from you (but provided by Writing.Com) which is the 500 GPs total ... (I've redacted the GP amount, member and the item reviewed)
