You can link to another chapter in the story using the chapter's ID and the writingML {chapter:#####} where #### is the ID number of the chapter.

And, yes, you can use this as a link in the options area. So, if you want a choice to link back to a previous chapter, instead of an option "title", you'd enter the WritingML for the previous chapter: {chapter:#######} It also allows you to link different stories to one another, etc etc, as you can link to any interactive chapter.
