Thanks for membership, a group of teens playing the TMNT RPG become their characters |
[Introduction]
Remember the 80s Dungeons and Dragons cartoon where a bunch of kids go on a ride and become D&D characters? Well, here's a version of an idea I've tried to do in regular fanfics but realized it's better for an RP campfire a group of teens are invited to play their first game of the TMNT RPG where they play mutant animals instead of elves and dwarves...They don't pay much heed to the strange marks the DM was drawing on the floor in chalk and after character creation when they're ready to play the DM puts his hand together and begins a strange chant and suddenly they find themselves in a cartoon world and they've transformed into their Mutant Animal characters, and their memories of their original human selves are fading fast OK since we're an actual RPG team in this one remember one player character per author you can make up other characters to interact with but those are 'NPCs' |
OK here we go Character Name: Shadow Real Name: Katelyn Age: 16 Species: Norway Rat (Rattus norvegicus) Features: Full Hands, Full Biped, Full Speech, No Human Looks Likes: Singing, Dancing, Chocolate Bon Bons, Soda Dislikes: Getting Dirty, Being Ugly, Green Vegetables Bio: Katelyn is a preppy cheerleader that last person you imagine would be into a 'geeky' hobby like this however the pressures of her well-to-do family to constantly do more and be perfect at it has been starting to strain on her so she was talked into this game as a way to 'cool off' (And secretly she wants to unleash her interest in dark and spooky things) she wasn't pleased at being a Rat Mutant as she hoped to be a sex cat girl like she sees in Anime but the DM ruled what species you roll is what you get so she figures it could have been worse Shadow's background: The origin rolled for this mutant what mutated by deliberate experimentation by a secret medical experiment organization was treated as a caged experimental animal before escaping rolling again on wild animal education Shadow was found by a ninja master who taught her the secrets of ninjitsu which cooled down her hatred towards all humans considerably |
(Funny. Got a D&D themed interactive where players directly control their characters, which are reflections of themselves. No memory loss of self though.) Character Name: Tom Real Name: Thomas Jones Age: 17 Species: Cat (Felis catus) Features: Full hands, Full Biped, Full Speech, No Human Looks Likes: Reading, Listening to music, Eating good food Dislikes: Big Dogs Bio: Thomas was looking for a game to play, after his last group broke up. He found out about the game practically by accident, and decided to give it a try. He finds it funny that he was going to be a cat, as he's had a bad relationship with big dogs, ever since an incident where one bit his face. Tom's Background: Once a pet, he was accidentally left behind on moving day, and was exposed to a mutagen while trying to locate his family. He still wishes to find them. |
Shadow and 'Tom' suddenly found themselves in a junkyard at night after that strange colorful tornado the DM had created had stopped... Shadow immediately felt something strange about herself, She looked down and saw that she had a tail! "EEEEK!" She squeaked jumping up! Then she saw her hands! They were soft pink and had claws on the ends of her fingers! |
Then a voice from above came "It is normal when you play with me..." Shadow and Tom looked into the cloudy sky and circle in the clouds opened up showing the kid...His name was Eugene wasn't it? The one who invited them to this game and offered to be the DM they saw he was wearing a spooky black robe and his eyes were glowing "So that's why you were drawing all those strange shapes on the floor with chalk!" Shadow exclaimed "My parents warned me about creeps like you!" |
"Sounds like those fellas talking about the Devil's Work during the Satanic Scare phase of Dungeons and Dragons had a point," said Tom. |
"I assure you I have nothing to do with those you call 'Devil Worshippers' Eugene said "I come from an entirely different thing...A group of magic practitioners with a special connection to animals and nature...And those animals you transformed into was not mere chance of the dice..." Shadow gulped at that fearing this meant she really was a rat... |
"This dimension is in danger..." Eugene said "...There is danger of a great ecological catastrophe about to happen that could destroy this world." "Why us?" Shadow asked "You were the only ones who volunteered." Eugene said "There may be another coming soon though..." |
"I kinda hope so," Tom said. "Jobs like this are a three, maybe four, person thing." |
Just then they heard what sounded like the siren of a police car coming toward the junkyard. "You might want to hide..." Eugene said as he disappeared behind the clouds |
"I take it that this isn't a talking-animal-friendly type of setting," said Tom. |
As the police car passed by, Eugene appeared again in the hole in the clouds. "Did you ever read the original TMNT comics?" He asked "It isn't like the kid friendly cartoon where the Turtles can walk around in broad daylight...Here Mutant Animals can be sent to labs to be dissected...Anyway the other guy is coming so hold tight." |
"Guess this place isn't like in D&D, especially after they decided to get rid of the strict alignment thing for races," said Tom. "All kinds of species could live in relative harmony together." |
~¤~ Character Name: Creston Real Name: Will Sanders Age: 17 Species: Raccoon Features: Bipedal, blue hooded tunic, black long coat, black pants, leather boots, belt, and sachels Occupation: Thief Likes: Giving orphanages money he steals from the rich, Pranking, and Challenging locks and safes Dislikes: Stuck up rich people, Hiarchy, and "Yet, some not so much." Walking out of the shadows, a raccoon in black and blue clothes and leather steps our and sets a large sack on the ground. "Name is Creston. Who might you two be? |
Um...Maybe I wasn't clear, in this story we're humans from the ordinary world and we turn into RPG characters we create it's not like we're humans being literary mutated into animals the Mutant character is supposed to be an animal created for a game |
