Syldi ventures far from her home to seek out the fabled Moonlit Isle after hearing stories
[Introduction]
It was like any other night. Syldi laid quietly in her bed and stared blankly at the eggshell white ceiling of her room. The bay window was slightly open and a light breeze came in, making Syldi shudder at its light touch. Her long sliver grey hair was tied into a bun and eyes simmered a pale blue as she thought of the story her brother told her. Even though everyone in the village knew that Moonlit Isle was just a myth, deep inside Syldi knew that it was real. She couldn't sleep because of it. It was too much for the young elf. She just had to go out and see if it was just a fair tale like the others say. So without hesitation, Syldi quietly slid out of her bed and swiftly gathered her things into a bag large enough to hold some money, two weeks worth of food, a few clothes, her lyre that was once her mothers, a small knife, and a book. She put on her amulet around her neck and on her hip was a great sword. She walked out of the house and quietly walked towards the village entrance before stopping dead in her tracks. She was the village chief, Zincan, and her brother, Sylvo, stand there with sullen faces. No one said a word as she slowly walked to them and chewed her lower lip
