A fantasy roleplaying story, filled with heroes, adventures, monsters, and treasures! |
[Introduction]
Our story begins in the Fishy Tales Tavern & Inn on a warm spring morning in the village of Rockmont, which lies at the base of Mount Idyll. Many locals and a few travelers are scattered around the tables and the bar, eating, drinking, and enjoying the cheap entertainment-that of a beginner belly dancer, complete with tambourine. Ferrick, a teenaged Half-Elf rogue with short, light brown hair, walks in, dressed in brown studded leather armor and carrying a bow, with a rapier sheathed at his side. He scouts the patrons, then heads to the bar for a drink, attempting to lift a few coins from a drunkard's belt pouch who is slouched over asleep next to him. He slides a silver piece over to Gray, the middle-aged Human bartender, and says, "A mug of stout please, and keep the change." Soon, he is quenching his thirst with the Dwarven brew and enjoying being able to rest his weary legs, feet, and back. He places his backpack on the stool to his right and guards it with shifting eyes as he watches for easy marks or potential allies in the room. Suddenly, he spots someone interesting sitting at a table near the unlit fireplace, near where the dancer's makeshift stage sits. He cannot believe his eyes as he studies the... [Note: Please make up your own person that Ferrick sees sitting nearby who fascinates him, of whatever fantasy race you'd like, and also class if you'd like, such as wizard, cleric, ranger, fighter, or whatever; as well as description, what they're doing, does Ferrick interact or just watch? Who else does he see? Does anyone else come into the tavern? Does the barkeeper or waitress speak to him? Does he order food, and if so, what kind of meal? Does anyone offer him a quest to go on, and does he find one or more allies who might join him? What is the quest's goal, and what monsters or villains stand in the way, guarding what valuable and possibly magical treasures? Have fun!] ***{Anyone interested in joining this campfire story, please send me a message or email on here to spyyder976@writing.com, and I will send you an invite to join this story.} |
