Here are a few things to understand in order to control and get around your emotions
[Introduction]
Emotions, also known as “the flesh”. Ever looked back at the past and asked yourself why you acted/reacted the way you did or why you said what you said? Let’s be honest, emotions cause us to do really stupid things that we can end up regretting, usually because THEY ARE NOT CONSTANT.

Lets start by understanding what emotions are. Its important to understand that, as humans our bodies are a bag of chemicals which react very actively. Therefore anything can affect what we feel (from the food we eat to the things here). Hence we can say as humans we live to satisfy these emotions, also known as the pursuit of happiness. This pursuit of happiness is the same reason why drugs are abused, it’s the same reason why you want to make money and buy a Rolls Royce, its also the same reason stealers steal and killers kill.

As humans, the thing which influences our emotions the most is inequality e.g doing a better job than someone and yet they get paid more just because your name is Sam not Bob. This has brought so many deaths and wars since the beginning of human time. Emotions are an interconnected system of thoughts, feelings, motives, and a bodily reaction.

We should picture emotions as the weather, they are both not consistent and lets say, the sun(yellow) is your happy emotions and the dark grey clouds is the anger, sadness and all those other negative emotions. As these “clouds” come over our lives, we tend to forget that the “sun” is still there and all these “clouds” are bring is rain which will bring forth life. All we need to do is find shelter.

HOW TO CONTROL THESE EMOTIONS

*Watch what you eat (we still chemicals, never forget that). *Don’t just act, take yourself out of the situation and think carefully. *Have something to escape to, “shelter”. Your shelter could be listening to music or maybe writing, but whatever it is make sure is relaxes you and keeps you peaceful.

And remember! “STAYING ANGRY AT SOMEONE IS LIKE EATING POISON AND EXPECTING THE OTHER PERSON TO DIE”

-Read : Romans 8vs5.
