In life I found being a lycan isn't so confusing when you're accused of murder. |
[Introduction]
I can't tell you how it began, only that I started it. I am part of a race that didn't begin until over 100 years ago. Legends proceeded us. They used to call us werewolves, but I prefer the term lycan. My name is Lyric, I can't tell you much more about myself. I was adopted into a home when I was twelve and a year later I killed my parents. I'm now seventeen and a fugitive of the law. I've gone to eight separate schools in he last four years because I knew it would be the last place they would be looking for me. I've been running for four years now, and I'm tired of running. I've begun to wonder if all this running was really worth it. I lay my head down at the base of the rickety old bridge and went to sleep. It was getting late and I would have to get up extra early in the morning. I closed my eyes hoping I wouldn't dream. But knowing as always that I would. "Is she alive?" A voice said uncomfortably close, it took all I had to open my eyes before instinctively lashing out. In seconds I knew I could have a dangerously sharp set of claws protrude from my knuckles. It wasn't anywhere near my cycle yet so there was no chance of "going wolf" on anyone. "Yes she's alive."I growled trying to seem much more pleasant than I felt. "Oh sorry about that." Came a calm voice which sounded a bit frightened as well. "What do you want?" I asked rudely, I hadn't slept properly in days. "Nothing, I just-- well it's just-- you're not allowed to sleep here." The voice said sheepishly. "Oh." I said, wishing I didn't want to tear whoever the voice belonged to apart. I was tired. "Well, good to know, now can you leave or something?" I asked irritatedly. "I don't think you heard me--" The voice said trying to be stern. I hated that. "Yes, yes, I heard you just fine!" I interrupted, "The problem I'm having at this point in time is giving a rats ass what you said, so how can I put this politely, piss off!" |
