Anne , Peter and Margot have survived the Holocaust with Otto. Now they have to survive...
[Introduction]
Anne was on the brink of death when the British soldiers liberated the camp along with Margot. They were carried out to the hospital and have recovered. Otto has heard that his wife has died, but that his daughters are in the hospital along with Peter. After the quick recovery, they return to Miep. Though she had never let anyone read her diary, Anne allows only Otto to read her diary. She figures out how to survive without her mother and Peter without his parents. Though they return to school, Anne feels closer then ever to Peter and Margot. Her friends are gone except for Hanneli. Otto is thinking about remarrying, but Anne is firm about not getting a stepmother. Peter and Anne's romance blossoms even more, and they are closer together. This time, Otto approves, but is a bit worried. Will Otto, Margot, Peter and Anne find out how to get used to being out of hiding or concentration camps? Will Anne and Peter's romance become marriage? Or will their lives shatter?
