A woman, captured, escapes and is now being hunted. Rate/reviews welcome by all members!
[Introduction]
A woman with supernatural powers is imprisoned by the government in hopes that they can convince her to use her powers on their enemy leader and gradually suck his life force away. Never accustomed to being forced to do anything, Meridiana manages to escape her captor and is now on the run...
Meridiana's emerald eyes scanned the bar looking for the perfect victim. A nagging hunger in the back of her throat, it burned like a million tiny fireants all biting at the same time. She tried to swallow past it, but was unable. Her eyes settled on a gorgeous man sitting catty-corner to her, nursing his beer for all its worth.

His icy blue gaze met hers. His Raven colored hair gleaming in the dim lights of the smoky bar. His lips slowly raised into a seductive smile showing perfectly straight white teeth and an endearing dimple in his right cheek. A sweet, spicy scent hit her nose. Oh she knew that smell...lust. She inhaled, opening her mind and shuddering at the thoughts this man was projecting to her. She drank his lust like a well-aged wine.'Mmm, he'll do,' she thought as she returned his smile. She turned her attention to the man that sat next to her.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the raven haired man stand and start to walk toward her. 'Hook, line, and sinker...' She felt his presence behind her. The sweet, spicy scent became even stronger the closer he came. She closed her eyes, trying to reign her hunger in. 'Musn't let it get out of control.' He placed his large, warm, masculine hand on her shoulder. She opened her eyes slowly, hoping they hadn't changed. She slowly swiveled around on the barstool, biting her lower lip, and looked up toward the man. A slow smile spread across her face, "I'm Di, and you are?"

In a roughened voice he said, "I'm Eric. I couldn't help but notice you...you are one beautiful lady. But, I bet you hear that all the time."

She did, but she shook her head in the negative, a faint flush coloring her cheeks, and said, "No...actually I don't." She brushed her curly, auburn hair off her neck and tilted her head to the side, slowly licking her plump, pouty, lips.

His covetous eyes watched her every move, he swallowed and said, "Umm...uh...Can I get you a drink?"

She shook her head, looked directly into his desire-filled eyes and said, "Actually Eric I am so hungry and know just where I want to go. Will you take me?"

He nodded, held his arm out as she wrapped her arm in his, and said, "Where to?"

She smiled inwardly, "Oh not far, not far at all..."

They walked out of the bar arm in arm. The sweet, spicy scent of lust emanating from him getting stronger and stronger, overwhelming her. Not to mention the metallic scent of sweet rich blood that permeated from his pores. She could see his carotid artery throbbing just underneath the tender skin of his neck. Her vision went red, a familiar shift in her jaw. A tingle at her fingertips as her nails hardened and grew. Her eyes desperately searched for a secluded spot to sate her thirst. An alley loomed up on the right, "I can't wait lover," She purred as she pushed him into the dark alley.

"I...uh..okay," he studdered as she pushed him up against the brick wall. She pinned him with her body, her lush curves pressed tightly against him. She could feel his excitement pressed against her abdomen. She drank him in, throwing her head back and inhaling loudly.

"I will have you tonight Eric." She leaned in and captured his lips, moaning at the taste of him...divine. A very innocent soul, just ripe for the picking. Her hand rubbed against his manhood, straining against his jeans, just begging for release. She sighed as she thought, 'Too bad I can't have all of him.'

This would have to be a quick, thorough feeding...blood. She broke the kiss and rubbed her cheek against the faintly stubbled surface of his, encouraging him to tilt his head to the side. She inhaled loudly, her breath snuffling over the thin skin of his neck. She opened her mouth slowly, leaned in and sunk fang into his carotid.

Meridiana sighed in relief as the burning sensation was quenched by the life force of this innocent mortal. She clamped down even harder into his neck as the sweet metallic fluid gushed into her. She projected lusty thoughts to him to keep him from losing focus and realizing what was truly happening. This man would die with a smile on his face. Her hand rubbing against his manhood, the fabric felt wet. He moaned in pleasure as she drank him into oblivion. She focused her superior hearing on his heartbeat, listening as it slowed. Finally, his heart faltered and stopped.

Her fangs retracted, jaw shifted to accomodate her incisors. She pulled back to look at her latest victim, licking her her lips. She patted his cheek, noting his very satisfied expression and the obvious stain on the front of his jeans. She said, "Thanks...was it good for you?" She laughed and let him sink to the ground, straightened her clothing and started to walk toward the busy road.
Captain Chris Battis watched in subdued silence as two of his men wheeled the experiment through the hallway in a Hannibal lector style restraint system, rubbing his face in fatigue he checked his watch noting in dismay that the time was three a.m. While not a Captain in the strictest sense of the rank the Private Military Corporation that employed him still used military ranks to differentiate between soldiers.

Having served with distinction as an officer in the armed forces Chris not only had a reputation for being a solid leader but; for following orders, thinking outside the box, and giving even the unbelievable a fair chance. "But I don't think anything could have prepared me for this assignment" he thought wearily, only two hours ago the retrieval team had tranqued her as she exited the ally where she had finished "feeding" and loaded her into the back of a waiting van.

Having wrestled her into the van nearly all the retrieval team had bruises and one even had a cracked rib, despite the fact that she had enough cc's of tranquilizer in her to knock out a rhino and certainly enough to kill a human. From what Chris had been shown in the briefings however this woman was no ordinary human, she was a supernatural creature called a succubus or something under ideal conditions fed on human life force and human blood. Also add to the fact that even at three in the morning, being totally restrained, and almost comatose with all the tranquilizer they had administered she still looked beautiful.

Chris, snapping out of it fell into step beside the two men wheeling the cart and directed them to the cell this creature was to be held in. Unlocking the door with his key card he stepped inside and guided the wheeled restraint through the door, once they were on the other side he instructed the guards to step back.

Raising their weapons the two stone faced guards retreated to the door of the cell and carefully watched as Chris undid the restraint system, catching her as she fell out he picked her up and quickly but carefully moved over to the single bed in the vast cell and gently set her on the bed.

As he set her down Chris straightened up and admired her sleeping form "Damn, she is beautiful" he silently admitted to himself, suddenly her groaning shattered his fatigue induced revive and he quickly backed out of the room catching a look at her chart along the way, noting her name he mused to himself as he watched her regain consciousness through the tiny window set in the door "Well Meridiana you sure are beautiful," he silently complimented "the only question is, how long will you stay that way?"

Sighing out loud Chris singled two soldiers out of the squad that had been ordered down here for prisoner admission "Barris, Harkin, guard this door, nobody in or out except myself, head researcher Strom, and director Tillman, understood?" he ordered making sure they understood

"Yes Captain Battis" Harkin who was the senior of the two replied

"And remember," Chris emphasized "if you start to feel funny in any way because of her you relive yourselves and alert security"

"Yes Captain" Harkin replied once more, with that Chris dismissed the rest and quickly strode off, his boots making hollow booming sounds on the expansive floor. Mounting the stairs to the level his quarters were on Chris thought to himself "Now to get some sleep"
After Captain Battis left and ahd been gone for about an hour another soldier entered, he was dressed exactly like them, gas mask and all, the only thing odd was that he had an anti-tank rifle on his back. He approched the two soldiers. "The captain want's to see you two and sent me to relive you." He said.

"The captian said not to move unless he said so." The one on the left said.
"No, he sent me--" The soldeir was cut off.
"I think we should call him down and see for our selves." The one of the right said griping their rifles.
"Well that's too bad...."
"What do you-ugh!" the guard on the right was punched in the throut. he fell agitsts the door clutching his throught. the other started bringing his rifle up. We need--" he was cut off as the other soldier grabed his rifle and slamed it into his face twice, bringing him down.

the soldier took the keys from one of them and pulled them out of the way, then unlocked the door.

He steped in ,seeing the target siting on the bed, still groggy from the drug. "Sorry about this, it's a safty precation." He said before he jamed the needle into her neck, more traqu. she fell onto the bed and he left, wheeling in one of the trasport bed.
he trasfered her to it and then started wheeling ehr out, he had all the right papers to take her right to the vehical bay

He waited till no one was looking and then loaded her into the back of one of their humvee and drove right out the front gate, after ditching the humvee and then going to a safe house set up in an apartment building.

the target slowly started to to wake up in a bed in a bare room.
Meridiana walked slowly out of the alley, her white coat billowing in the wind behind her. It was quiet, too quiet. She wiped at her lips, cocked her head to the side, and listened. Her untamed auburn curls blowing into her face. She squinted her emerald eyes and glanced around the area. After awhile of pure silence and no visuals, she straightened and started to walk down the sidewalk. Still, it was eerily quiet. A piece of paper rustled by on the sidewalk beside her. She just couldn't shake the feeling that something big was about to happen. She shook her head, frowning, and continued to walk down the sidewalk.

It was then that something hit her square in the back, piercing her skin, and causing her to stumble forward. 'What the hell?'She straightened up and tried to reach the projectile that was lodged in the middle of her back. No use, it was right where she couldn't reach it. She started to become lightheaded. A trickle of liquid, blood, ran down her back. She thought, 'A tranq dart...what the hell is going on?'

Her body didn't care, it was in full attack mode: her vision fading to red, the familiar shift in her jaw, the tingle at her fingertips as her nails hardened and grew. Sensing movement, alot of brain activity, and...pure lust. She inhaled the sweet spicy scent, feeding on it, and whirled around settling into an attack crouch as she was descended upon. Her eyes darted from soldier to soldier, not knowing where to start. She chose the man that was throwing off the most scent. 'What kind of sick fuck gets his rocks off attacking an innocent woman?' She laughed inwardly, as she leapt toward him, striking out. Hitting him full force. He flew twenty feet, hitting a brick wall, and landed with a reverberating thunk.

Meridiana had turned her attention to the next soldier, when she was hit in the back by another projectile. Again she tried to reach the damned thing, but was unable. She became more lightheaded, her eyes tried to blink away the effects of the drug. She stumbled, and the group of soldiers closed in around her, guns at the ready. She shook her head from side to side, swaying on her feet, trying to focus on her target. She struck out at anything that moved. Connecting with mortal flesh every time. The soldiers closed in on her. She wouldn't go down without a fight.

She crouched down into attack position, hissing her displeasure, baring her fangs. She punched and kicked, in rapid succession. But she was slowing down. She knew her fists, legs, and claws had connected with some of the soldiers, she could smell the blood, they would be hurting later. 'Not enough,'she thought.

Her vision was fading, hazy around the edges. She stumbled and lost her footing, falling to the ground. Another dart hit her in the back. She tried to push herself up from the ground. Her palms flat against the ground, her head hanging low. She lifted her chin to glare at her attackers. She shouted, "What do you want from me!!!"

"We're just following orders..." A masculine voice barked orders to the other soldiers as her hearing faltered and her vision faded to black.

Meridiana started to wake up sometime later. She felt herself falling. She was caught and held in someone's arms, but she still couldn't move. She couldn't see, her hearing was diminshed to the point that it sounded like she was deep within a cavern...echoes. Her head was pounding. She couldn't make out what was being said. But she could smell. The first thing she could smell was the sweet spicy smell of lust. It was fleeting, but it was there, unmistakable to one like her. She was tossed onto a hard surface. She groaned aloud as the fog slowly lifted. She heard the door close, turned her head to the side and drifted off into a drug-induced sleep once again.

She awoke to the sounds of fighting outside of the door. Quickly, she sat up on the side of the bed...too quickly. She fell back into the bed until the nausea passed, and the orbs of light stopped popping up in her field of vision. Then she sat up slowly on the side of the bed. She looked toward the door as the jangling of keys registered in her mind. The door opened. A short man, dressed like the soldiers with a really large weapon stepped into the room and hurried over to her. She blinked, trying to get past the effects of the drug. He knelt down in front of her and quickly jammed a needle into her neck. Meridiana's body tensed at the invasion. The man smiled and said, "Sorry about this, it's a safety precaution." Her body slumped to the side and her vision faded to black once again.

Meridiana startled awake sometime later. She didn't try to sit up, she'd learned her lesson the first time. She lay still on the bed, looking around the bare room. Her gaze came to the short man that had jammed the needle into her neck. This time instead of being dressed like the other soldiers, he was wearing black trench coat. He was standing in the corner of the room, hands crossed in front of him, classic body-guard position. She opened her mouth to speak, coughing instead, when she finally caught her breath she said, "Who the hell are you? And..." she looked around the room, "Where the hell am I?"

Palming the release for the door to his quarters Chris plodded inside, too exhausted to care Chris threw his; vest, sidearm holster, radio, and jacket on the floor. Kicking off his boots he snatched the remote to his sound system and eased himself down onto his modest bed, pressing the on button the soothing melody of Midnight Sonata began to filter into the room.

Laying back Chris began to drift off and before the playlist could cycle to the next song in list, Adagio for Strings he was fast asleep. As he floated in that pleasant state humans call sleep he finally began to relax, after what only seemed to Chris like minutes but in reality was closer to an hour he received a rude awakening.

Jolted out of his sleep by the harsh, utilitarian wail of security alarms Chris snapped his eyes open. Sitting up on his bed he stared at his radio with menace "If it’s another goddamn drill..." Chris thought to himself as he pulled himself up off the bed and moved to where his earpiece was, shoving it into his ear he was met with a blast of several different voices of his security personnel

"...both Harkin and Barris are down..." one soldier announced

"...Sierra Echo one has broken containment..." another reported

"...they're trying to escape!" a third exclaimed, Chris limited his channel to the last speaker as he began to gear up

"Give me a sitrep soldier" Chris ordered sternly

"Yes sir," the soldier replied pausing only to catch his breath "Sir Smith and I were doing a patrol of the corridors when he jumped us"

"Woah slow down soldier, who jumped you?" Chris asked as he pulled he jacket on and slapped his vest on over top of it

"Well it was one of us sir, except he had some sort of massive anti tank gun on his back, well anyway he kicked both of our asses!" the soldier replied breathlessly

"Must've stolen a uniform" Chris grunted to himself as he racked the slide on his handgun and slid it into his leg holster, turning around her keyed in the combination to his weapons locker and pulled out his H&K G36 assault rifle.

"What was that sir, I didn't copy" the soldier asked

"I said stay put, helps on the way" Chris lied before switching channels to the operations center "Ops center this is Battis, I want an immediate complex wide exterior lockdown"

"Copy that sir, full exterior lockdown, nobody in or out" the clipped voice of the operator replied before Chris heard the rumbling of military grade blast shutters closing, yanking the bolt on his G36 Chris slapped the door release and stepped into the corridor.

As he stepped into the corridor he noticed that a squad of soldiers were waiting and fell into step behind him with weapons scanning just in case. Stepping up his pace one of the soldiers fell in beside him

"Sir we've got all of security out on two man patrols sweeping the complex until the experiment is found, so far aside from Corporal Smith's team we've had no contact with them" the soldier reported, downcast.

"Where were Smith and his team anyway?" Chris asked

"Zone five Captain, why the only thing there is the-" the soldier started but Chris cut him off

"Motor pool!" he finished, a second later an explosion coming from the direction of the motor pool shook the complex and made the lights flicker. Not bothering to order anybody else Chris sprinted down the hall towards the motor pool as his adrenaline surged, rounding the corner at top speed he skidded to a trot as he saw a big jagged hole in the side of the wall bordering the motor pool. Making his way through it blackened edges he dropped into the bay only to catch a glimpse of a Humvee speeding out of the complex proper and down the gravel road that led to the city.

Snapping off a burst with his assault rifle he listened as the three bullets impacted the Humvee's armoured rear before the vehicle fishtailed around a turn in the road and vanished from sight. Resting his rifle on his shoulder Chris sighed in defeat as the rest of the squad piled into the room behind him, just when Chris thought it couldn't get any worse the PA system burped static "Captain Battis to the Director's office immediately"

Chris knew he was in for a long night
"Well then, that's a new way to speak to the person who rescued you from the rather unfriendly people. I am Lynch, and you are in a bedroom, inside of an apartments, which is in an apartment building, in a city, near where you were being held." Lynch replied with a smile. He took a step closer to her. "And sorry about the drug," He grabed her wrist, taking her pulse." It was necessary to try and sneak you out, would have worked to, f the guard hadn't been early on his rounds." HE said seting her arm down.

"How do you feel? any nausea? Headache? or anything else?" He looked at her. "You thirsty? i know you fed already, you should becarful, if i hadn't arrived a few minutes after you were grabed then you would have had a big mess, leaving the guy in an alleyway." he said then stood by her bed, waiting for an answer.
Meridiana rolled onto her side, the cool sheet sliding along her naked flesh, making gooseflesh appear on her skin and her nipples pucker in response. 'What the hell?' She hugged the sheet over her breast's, shook her head, blinked a few times, decided she'd pay the nakedness no mind, and answer Lynch's incessant questions. She looked up at the man standing next to bed patiently awaiting her answers.

"I'm sorry about the way I spoke to you. How was I to know that you rescued me? Especially since you jammed a needle into my neck." She gestured around the room that she was in, "You're being a little vague about where we are, considering I had no idea where I had been taken in the first place." She held the sheet to her ample busom with one hand as she finger-combed through her curly, auburn hair; it was a mess. She'd give anything to take a nice hot shower and get dressed.

She looked around the room once more, her emerald gaze finally coming to rest on Lynch, "I feel fine, not nauseous at all, a tiny headache is throbbing at my temples but nothing a little blood won't cure. As for the man I left in the alley, what was I supposed to do? Call in the local ghouls? I sure as hell wasn't going to lug around a dead man."

She sighed and said, "Please tell me you found out why those men kidnapped me...And why the hell am I naked?"

She raised an eyebrow as an idea popped into her rapidly working mind. She slowly sat up onto the side of the bed dropping the sheet, she stretched her arms over her head, licked her pouty lips slowly as she kept her emerald gaze fixed on Lynch. She smiled as the sweet, spicy scent of lust wafted toward her, inhaling deeply, she shuddered at the feed. She relaxed her arms, reached out and wrapped her fingers around Lynch's palm. She gazed up into his eyes and said, "Now, about that blood..."
Chris walked down the halls with a most severe look on his face, guards quickly jumped to the side and saluted in an effort to get out of his way. Finally coming to a stop outside of the Director's office he rapped on the door, hearing a muffled "come in" Chris pushed the door open and walked into the Directors darkened office.

Like Chris the Director also had a great love of classical music and currently had Rachmaninov's second symphony flowing from speakers recessed in the high corners of his office, turning to face him the Director did not look amused "So am I to understand that the experiment escaped?" he asked in clipped tones

"Yes Director," Chris replied steadfastly "however I feel it is my dut-" the Director cut him off with a wave

"If I had wanted your excuses Captain, I would have called you over the intercom and saved myself the grief over having you intrude on my private sanctuary" the Director stated in the same modulated tone he always used,

"What would you have me do, sir?" Chris asked becoming annoyed with the visit as well

"What you will do is recapture that, creature and bring it back here" the Director ordered, the steel in his voice telegraphing his immobile stance on the issue.

"Right away sir," Chris answered "I'll prepare the troops right away"

"Don't bother Captain, I've taken the liberty of alerting them myself" he replied, clearly delighted at Chris's unease at the Director usurping his position.

"Very good sir, I'll leave then to be with the troops" Chris replied lamely as he backed out closing the door as he did

"You do that Captain" the Director called out as the door shut.

As Chris strode to the Motor pool which had been turned into an impromtu staging area his face burned "That asshat just made a complete fool out of me!" he raged

Making his way through the huge hole in the wall as it was closer then the door Chris took in the sight before him; about ten guys were rushing around getting three of the company's undercover suburbans ready to drive, while this was going on another four milled around the complex's helicopter, noticing him one of the guys at the helicopter waved him over after saluting.

"Man this experiment must be important if the Director was willing to bring out the helicopter for the search" Chris mused to himself as he made his way to the crowd by the chopper. As he stopped at the chopper he saw the face of the man who was beckoning him earlier

"Well I'll be damned, if it isn't Chandler Riggs the team wiseass," he jibed as the two men embraced in a ferocious backslapping hug, after Chris pulled out of it he looked at Riggs incredulously "Not that I'm not happy to see you but, what the hell are you doing here?" Chris asked bluntly

"Well your Director recruited me a short time ago, I guess he figured he needs better talent then you" Riggs jibed back

"Well in any case," Chris answered with a smile on his face "We've got a creature to catch and we'll need all hands on deck for it, so you in?" he asked indicating Riggs

"That's what they pay me the big bucks for Chris" Riggs reminded as he mounted the helicopter and held out his hand to Chris, taking it Chris vaulted up into the chopper and after helping the rest of the chopper team aboard he signalled for the pilot to spin up the rotors.

Deafened by the throaty roar of the chopper's engines he watched as the ground team jumped in the three suburbans and sped out of the motor pool and down the same gravel road that the stolen Humvee had only driven down a short while ago. Donning his headphones he was overwhelmed with initial chatter which died down as the group tuned their comms and maintained communications discipline. Suddenly Riggs broke silence

“A little music boys” Riggs’s voice issued from Chris’s headphones a second before Ride of the Valkyries came on at an ear popping level, laughter roared as many if not all of the troops had seen Apocalypse Now and distinctly remembered the scene, even the guys in the suburbans were laughing due to it playing on all frequencies.

Just as Chris was about to order Riggs to turn it off he stood up, puffed his chest out and said in his most macho voice “I love the smell of Napalm in the morning”

At this everyone exploded in laughter and even Chris couldn’t have stopped it either, because he was out laughing too. After the outburst came under control they spent the rest of the trip to the city in silence as the predawn light glowed behind them.
Lynch pulled his ahnd fron ehr and croushed by the bed. "I got jsut waht you need, miss."He said and before she could do anyhting he puleld out a cooler and opened it. inside were blood bags, lost and lost sof blood bags. "As for the location, it's a bit secret right now so as not to posably give away outr postion to them" eh said handiner her an AB+ bag then puting the rest back. "I'd sugest you rest up, it's three int eh morning and there will eb a lot to do once it's daylighte." Lynche said an d then left the room.
When Lynch pulled his hand from Meridiana's grasp and crouched down, reaching under the bed, she thought she had him. She inhaled deeply through her nose in anticipation. When she realized that he wasn't responding to her advances, she was perplexed. He had scented the air with lust earlier. Now it was all but gone. He was the first mortal man to resist her innate succubus charm. On one hand, it was Intriguing; on the other...just frustrating as hell.

She needed to feed the succubus side...badly. She had her fill of warm mortal blood; the vampire was sated. To top off the insult, Lynch had offered her cold, bagged, blood. 'What the hell?' She fingered the cold bag of AB+ that he had handed her, the sloshing sound made her feel sick to her stomach. She grimaced at the thought of having to drink it. It just didn't taste the same...she liked her blood warm and directly from the source.

She understood his thinking on wanting to keep their location a secret. But at this point, she didn't care. She had been injured and needed to regenerate. She hadn't fully fed on the mortal earlier in the night. She could have gone much further to sate both of her needs. But she hadn't because her need was too great at the time and the location wasn't ideal for it. She hadn't been listening to anything Lynch was saying, when he abruptly stood up and started walking to the door, she heard one word, "Daylight."

Her head snapped around at the word, "What did you..." She was cut off as the bedroom door slammed behind a retreating Lynch. She couldn't do anything in the daylight. 'What is he thinking? Doesn't he know what I am?' She stood up from the bed, clutching the sheet to her chest. Her head franticly turning from side to side, eyes trying to search out some clothing. Nothing. She muttered under her breath, "Where the hell are my clothes?" With one hand on her hip and the other holding the sheet in place, she stood still, cocked her head to the side, and listened to the noises in the apartment building. "Surely we can't be the only people here...Hmm," she said tapping her chin.

Meridiana tied the sheet around her body, toga-style. She looked to the bedroom door, she needed a 'fix', and soon. She walked over to the door, turned the knob and pulled. It opened with ease. She thought for sure that she was being held prisoner. She was so full of need now that even thinking the word, 'fix', was turning her vision pink. She had to get out. She walked to the front door, turned the knob, cracking the door open. She stopped when she heard footsteps approaching her from behind. She whirled around to find Lynch. He opened his mouth to speak; she cut him off abruptly by putting her hand in the air.

"I have to go feed, not on blood, my other need. I'll stay in the apartment building." She cocked her head to the side, her lips curled into a mischievous smirk, as she added, "Don't worry I wont kill anyone. Don't wait up." She smiled, closing the door behind her, and walked into the hallway. She'd deal with the "daylight" thing later, now to feed.
As the helicopter crested the ridge that led into the city more of the sun was up and daylight was threatening to peek through the current cloud cover in more than just a few strangled rays, "Daylights no good" Chris thought apprehensively "more witnesses to see us and less shadows to mask our activities". As the outskirts of the city rapidly flashed under the dangling feet of them men sitting on the edge of the chopper Chris made his way to the cockpit and tapped the co-pilot on the shoulder "Activate the FLIR" he ordered into his boom mike

"Roger that sir, but the image will only be viable for a little while longer as the entire city's heating up" the co-pilot explained as he leaned forward and flicked a few switches, leaning back a grainy white and gray image popped up on the tiny screen in between the pilot’s and co-pilot’s chairs.

"I'll take what I can get" Chris answered wryly as he examined the image on screen, Forward Looking Infrared or FLIR for short was the same system that the police used to track down fleeing criminals, the only downside was that it was useless during daylight hours as the heat from the sun distorted the image.

Counting on the device to hit pay dirt Chris squatted down and studied the panel intently looking for any sign of the escaped succubus, as the minutes seemed to stretch into hours and the screen gradually began to turn whiter and whiter and Chris grew more panicked.

Just as he was about to order the device shut off he caught a glimpse of something interesting "Pause that image!" he exclaimed, acting immediately the co-pilot punched the corresponding button and the image froze

"Find something interesting sir?" he asked

"Well you could say that," Chris frowned "this image here, its colder then average but not cold enough to be succubus normal body temperatures

"I don't know how to answer that sir," the co-pilot admitted "maybe her temperature warms as she hunts" he offered

"Of course that's it! Harkin exclaimed as the co-pilot's suggestion jogged his memory back to one of the briefings that had covered her differences from regular humans "where's that heat source coming from?" he demanded excitedly

"Uhh...little hard to tell you that sir," the co-pilot replied grimly "best guess would be somewhere in that apartment building" he indicated a huge apartment building numbering well over a hundred floors.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me!" Chris exclaimed in disgust

"Sorry sir, I wish I was" the co-pilot apologized, Chris clapped him on the shoulder

"Its ok son, just drop us on the roof" he replied, giving him a funny look the co-pilot turned back to his station as the pilot descended to just above the rooftop. Pushing fast ropes over the side of the chopper the team roped over the side and hit the roof with rifles raised; Riggs who was the last besides Chris himself to rope down started to laugh

"What's so funny Riggs?" Chris asked grabbing his own rope and walking to the edge of the chopper

"Just the fact that you got promoted to general all of a sudden, come on Chris, son?" Riggs shouted over the noise of the chopper as both of them had taken off their headsets before repelling over the side of the chopper

"Hey, what's so bad about son?" Chris hollered as he jumped down after him

"Oh just the fact that you sprouted a few gray hairs and got a star or two lodged up your ass immediately after you said it" Riggs replied once they were securely on the roof and the chopper was gone, several of the men struggled to contain their laughter but were promptly silenced by unimpressed stares from Chris.

Turning to Riggs Chris answered "Alright wise guy, you're on point," he ordered sternly, bowing like a performer Riggs moved to the front of the line "as for the rest of you we need a way to draw her out so think deep lusty thoughts, you've seen pictures of this woman and I've seen her myself just imagine her...naked" Chris ordered awkwardly having never thought he would have given that order in his lifetime before he signalled with his hand for Riggs to move.

Opening the door Riggs surveyed the hall before moving through, as the rest of the line began to move Chris shouldered his rifle and filled his head with all of the fantasies of Meridiana that his imagination could think of before he too moved towards the door.
Lynch had just lowered herself from stopping the target, he really would have to learn her name, in his briefing he had just been told to get her out and to the safe house, were she would later be picked up later and taken to a more secure location.

HE then notices a beeping coming from one of his pockets. He took out his PDA. "Shit!" he said reading the message.
ROOFTOP PRESSURE SENSORS TRIPED
STAIRWAY 3 MOTION SESORE TRIPED, PROJECTILE WEAPONS DETECTED.

Lynch put his PDA back. "they don't waist anytime do they? damn good commander they have." Lynch said remember the files on all the people he may encounter.
He grabbed his rifle and headed for the door, this was going to be a long night.

He was in the hall and was glad to see the target hadn't gone far, she would have to wait about feeding.

HE ran down the hall and grabbed her arm. "Time to go." He said ignoring her protest as they dragged her down the hallway toward the elevators.
Meridiana started walking down the hallway dressed in nothing but a sheet. She shook her head at how ridiculous the situation had become. Her vision had turned completely red a few moments ago. She knew she had to get her need under control before she knocked on the door of her chosen victim or she would scare them away. Just thinking about what she was about to do…tightened things low in her body in anticipation.

She listened outside every apartment; there was nothing here that interested her. ‘Lynch would be interesting, but difficult.’ She felt her lips curl into a crooked smile at the thought. How he had been able to resist her? She had no idea, it had never happened before.

She heard a door open in the direction she had come from. She turned to find Lynch running toward her. He grabbed onto her arm and simply said, “Time to go.”

She saw that he was distressed about something and as they reached the elevator, looking into his eyes she asked, “What’s happened?”

Just then, a familiar sweet, spicy aroma invaded her nostrils. She inhaled deeply, feeding on the lust that she couldn’t place. It was strong though, almost as if someone was deliberately projecting to her. It wasn’t coming from Lynch; it was coming from the elevator. ‘Shit!’ She instinctively grabbed hold of Lynch’s arm and pulled him away as the elevator opened…
As the team crept single file down the stairs a flash caught Chris's eye, turning to face it he realized that they had just walked through a laser beam "Motion sensor!" he thought instantly. Realizing that it would be a race to their quarry Chris yelled "Move, move, move your asses we're blown!"

Instantly the troops understood his meaning and began to sprint down the stairs with Chris in the lead, as people came out into the halls to see what was happening Chris shoved them out of the way without breaking his sprint, pushing a man in his sixties into his apartment door so hard Chris heard the wood crack Chris finally made it to the end of the hallway.

Quickly giving the elevators a quick once over he yelled to Chandler "Riggs take those two and head down the stairs!" Chris ordered "I'll take Masterson and head down the elevator to ground level so we can catch them in a pincer!"

"Roger that sir!" Riggs gasped as he continued around the next set of stairs, motioning to Masterson the two men quickly jumped in the elevator. Slapping the first floor button he took a step back from the door, motioning for Masterson to do the same Chris was about to comment on the terrible nature of elevator music when the doors pinged open a long while before they were supposed to.

Ready to give some resident of the complex hell Chris raised his rifle, without checking he knew that Masterson had as well by the rustle of fabric on metal, however what was on the other side of the doors surprised him a lot more than any resident could.

Standing there barely clothed and with a formidable looking man beside her was the succubus Meridiana "Can we wrap this up so I can get back to bed?" he asked sardonically, blurting out the first thing that came to mind.

Chris immediately regretted his choice of words and would have face palmed had he not been holding his G36.
"Sure you can sleep." Lynch said. "Sorry about this.."He said to the target and then toor the bed sheet off her person. he smiled a tthe shock that appered on the face of the two men and used this to reach ina dn slam the door close button and then grabed one of the mens side arm, "Need ot borrow this.", He said the two man snaped out of it jsut as the door closed. he heard one his a button but the high powered cable was already on it way down now.

Lynch took his cell phone out as he handed the target the bed sheet out. He dieled a few numbers. "H-hello? 911? y-yes...soem men jsut ran past my room carring gind..i-ithing they are going t kill some one...please..please help.." Lynch said souning completly terror filled and then he fired four shots from the handgun. "OH GOD THEY'RE SHOOTING AT ME! HELP!" HE fired another shot and then hung up the phone. "That should take care of that." Lynch said calmly and with a smile on his face. "well, time for the stairs."He said going to the stairs and pushing the door open, he coudl hear soldiers on the stairs but they were still enar the top. he grabed the womens arm and shuffled ehr into the stairwelled.
Meridiana gasped as the bed sheet was torn from her grasp. There she stood, naked in all her glory, in front of two men with rifles and Lynch. A wave of pure pleasure overcame her as a sweet, spicy smell wafted toward her. She threw her head back, her rosy nipples puckered and hardened, her pleasure became moist instantly as she fed on their lust.

A soft moan escaped her as she eyed the men. She felt quite vulnerable in this state. Not only did she react sexually, she reacted to the scent of their blood coming to the surface as well. She knew what had bloomed to life in their pants in that moment. Her vision went red, a familiar shift in her jaw, a tingle at her fingertips as her nails hardened and grew.

She watched as Lynch reached into the elevator pushing a button and taking one of the men’s sidearm. The men shook their heads coming out of their stupor just as the elevator door closed. Her body rigid, she tried to reign in her hungers as she heard Lynch dialing on his cell phone and spouting off a wonderfully acted tirade. She flinched when he discharged the five rounds, watched him hang up the phone, and smile wickedly.

He said something, but it was as if he was speaking from the bottom of a well. He walked over to the door of the stairwell. Then he turned and grabbed her arm, electricity shot through her body at the contact, as he shuffled her into the stairwell.

Her voice, laced with desire, said, “Lynch, you may not want to be touching me right now….I’m wound too tight. I…I only have so much control here.”
Chris felt his face burn red from a mixture of rage and embarrassment, slamming his hand against the control panel in frustration, "We were so damn close!" he growled

"Uhh...sir?" Masterson said timidly as if stepping on eggshells

"What is it Masterson?" Chris asked reigning in his rage

"Sir if you just hit the next button the elevator will stop and we'll be able to trap them in another pincer" Masterson replied in a rush, catching his drift Chris smacked the switch of the next floor and just in time too as the doors pinged open immediately. This time the door opened to an elderly couple waiting to use the elevator, ploughing through them Chris ignored their protests as he and Masterson made their way back to where the stairwell entrance was.

Pressing the door it refused to yield to Chris, cursing Chris reached for his sidearm only to find that it was missing "That son of a bitch!" he roared "took my fuckin sidearm!" By now Chris was a bit more than a little pissed off and so he backed up and put his boot to the door...hard.

Crashing into the stairwell with a resounding bang made more pronounced by the acoustics of the stairwell the door settled against the back wall and stayed there, rifles raised both men edged their way into stairwell and scanned it with Chris scanning the top and Masterson sweeping the bottom.

"There they are!" Masterson cried out as Chris noticed Riggs and the others a good five floors up, joining him in looking down Chris did indeed see the nude succubus and her male cohort, without hesitation he opened fire in an extended ten round burst but other than making the duo duck it had no effect.

"Come on Masterson, after them!" Chris shouted quickly descending stairs, firing as he went with Masterson close on his heels.
((if i read that right then my and JFarbs character are below your's member.))

"Just hold on till we're out of here." Lynch said as he hussled the target into the stair weld and down the stays as fast as was humanly possible. They had cleared about 6 floors when he heard a yell above them, he looked upa nd ahd time to pull the targer down behind the railing as he heard the clatter of the rifle. he then started moving, staying bellow the railing.

"Lynch smiles as he heard startled yells from far bellow in the stairwell, some one else ahd been taking the stairs and heard the shots, that would make another person calling police and probly alerting security. everything was going exactly as it was planed from the moment the Lynch was made aaware of the sldier coming from the roof.

"Just hold ona little longer, plesure your self if you need to." Lynch told the tager, once they were down another flight of stairs he got up and started running with her again, his hand still on her arm.
Meridiana straightened from the crouch that she had been forced into when the initial gunshots were fired. She looked at Lynch incredulously, hands on hips, “Pleasure myself? What the hell! Have you any idea…” Her tirade was cut-off by another round of gunshots being fired. Lynch with his hand still wrapped around her forearm, pulled her down into a crouch behind the railing. They continued to run down the stairs as fast as they could while dodging bullets.

Meridiana looked up the stairwell briefly only to see a soldier leaning over the railing, shotgun aimed. She pulled back just as the shot went off. Her vision was hazy and red; it was getting harder for her to navigate the twisting stairwell.

She really needed to feed…and soon. That nagging hunger sat in the back of her throat, burning like a million tiny fire ants all biting at the same time. She tried to swallow past it, but was unable. Not even being shot at had dampened the desire to sate either need. It may have even made her hunger worse due to the adrenaline now pumping through her veins. She could just imagine what she must look like: completely nude, Auburn hair flying, red eyes, fangs, and really long fingernails.

She looked over to Lynch, “Maybe we should get out of the stairwell?”
Masterson leaned out over the stairwell and pumped off a powerful blast from his shotgun, as Chris heard the slug drill into the wall and saw the plaster and jip rock shower down on the intrepid pair he ejected the spent magazine and fed a fresh one into his G36's receiver, looking up from his reloading he just caught a glimpse of the two before they ducked into one of the corridors leading off the third floor landing.

Not giving any quarter Chris charged towards the utilitarian number three that let him know it was a third floor corridor, suddenly hearing orders being given and commands being barked he slid to a stop and again looked over the railing, what he saw did not amuse him.

Scanning the first floor directly below him were a dozen or so SWAT officers, with gun lights sweeping in jerky alert strokes and their laser sights hovering over anything that looked suspicious Chris could tell that they had been well trained.

Having heard everybody's footsteps and all the firing taking place they had decided to breech up the stairwell and were currently creeping their way up the stairs in combat crouches, it was one of the closer ones that spotted Chris first but by then Chris already had his grenade out and had primed it "Sorry boys, just doing my job" he thought regretfully before dropping the grenade down the stairwell and then booking it down the hall with Masterson.

Ignoring the screams of pain and surprise from back down the stairwell Chris keyed his radio and spoke as he jogged down the corridor "Riggs this is Battis, do you copy?" he inquired

"Riggs here sir,"Chandler's calm voice issued over the speaker "after that little stunt you pulled with the frag we figured the stairs wouldn't be safe so we're falling back to the roof for helicopter extraction" he explained sardonically

"Good idea," Chris commented breathlessly as he checked all around him alert for any signs of ambush "Masterson and I are in pursuit of the objective so we'll be unable to rendezvous with you at the roof" Chris informed as they came to a T intersection.

"Copy that," Chandler acknowledged "but then how are you going to get out of here?" he asked with concern

"Just tell the backup teams in the suburbans to make some room" Chris growled as he slid up to the edge of the T and looked around the corner, the ghastly sight of a mauled member of the backup team coincided with Riggs's next transmission.

"That's just it sir" Chandler replied uncomfortably just as Chris checked for and failed to find the dead man's pulse "we can't raise the vehicle crews"

Quickly putting the facts together Chris rushed up to the window and looked down, sitting on the ground was an enormous trash pile that looked like it had been jumped on recently, only issue Chris had was that it was three stories up.

"Seriously?" Masterson asked sardonically

"Stow that Masterson," Chris ordered trying to look much braver then he actually felt "you're not paid to bitch"

Seriously eyeing the trash pile Chris took a deep breath and jumped out of the window, landing hard in the trash pile he slowly stood up and motioned for Masterson to do the same. Shrugging his shoulders Masterson squared himself and then jumped as well, once he was down they both made their way around to the alleyway adjacent to the building.

The sight that greeted them was not at all what they expected, strewn in front of them were the forms of the rest of the backup team, but what was the most surprising was the fact that the suburban closest to the road was squealing out of there at an alarming rate.

Noticing that all of the men were taken down by what looked like serious blunt force trauma Chris knew that it had to be the succubus in that stolen suburban, sprinting to the next one in line he was relieved to find the keys in the ignition. Mounting the step he swung around to Masterson "You get these men out of here safe and sound" he ordered

"What about you?" Masterson inquired as he began to rouse some of the team

"I'm gonna go get this bitch!" Chris exclaimed before swinging into the seat, cranking the ignition, slamming the clutch and popping it into gear. With the first few seconds of Paul Oakenfold's Ready steady go in his mind he gunned the gas and sped out of the alley himself.
Unknown to the soldiers was that Lynch and the target had not jumped from the window, they ahd merely crossed to the second set of stairs and begain going down them. one they ran into SWAT they ahd tryed to stopeed them, till Lynch showed them an ID that said he was FBI and the woemn with him was a witness to a crime that the men upstiars were hired to take out. they allowed him to pass and soon they were in the parking garage.

Lynch ahd been cought off guard by the soldiers there, notby them being there, but just by the number. but the targetn apparntl;y was getting agravated as she launched herself into the soldiers, linch going in right after her, though he had orders not to kill any of them, which he didn't.

he then stole one of there cars and frowned as he saw one of the other cars come out after them. they msut ahve missed one.

His frown deeped as he saw flashing lights appear behind the other car, lights that were quickly joined by more, the police were now in pursuit of the two fleeing cars.
Lynch's day was just getting better and better.
Lynch pulled Meridiana through a door marked with a crude number three just as she noticed that there were men on the lower levels as well. They crossed into the hallway of the third floor, Meridiana flinched as the door clanged shut behind them. Then a loud bang sounded, coming from the stairwell they had just left, making the floor vibrate beneath their feet.

Her senses were running wild; she was being led by Lynch. She knew the men in the stairwell floors below them were law enforcement…had to be. They would not know what she was. She knew she needed to abate at least one of her hungers so her outer changes would fade and they’d be able to get out of the building without any problems from law enforcement. Just then, a door clanged shut in front of them indicating some kind of stairwell. Lynch let go of her arm.

Two men dressed like the soldiers that were after them strode toward them, guns raised. Meridiana leapt at them, adrenaline pumping through her veins, pure blood lust. She caught one soldier in her grip and threw him through the window to her right. The other soldier was standing in front of her, his eyes fixed on her bare breasts. Perfect. He hadn’t dropped his weapon but he was definitely distracted. The sweet, spicy scent of pure lust wafted over her, she threw her head back inhaling deeply.

She let her head come slowly forward and stared into the soldier’s eyes. “You want me.”

Meridiana grabbed onto the barrel of his gun and pulled, drawing the soldier nearer to her. He let go of the rifle as he was pulled up against her lush curves, faces inches apart. She purred, “You can have me.”

She kissed him chastely and rubbed her cheek against his. He tilted his head to the side, giving her access. She leaned in, running her tongue along the pumping carotid artery, she shuddered in pleasure. She sank her fangs into the thin skin and into the throbbing artery, drinking deeply. He would not live, could not live. She poured pleasant thoughts into him as she drank. He spilled his seed and she drank deeper. She absorbed all of the soldier’s ‘life force’. It would have to do. She made sure no drop of blood hit her skin. His heart faltered, her fangs retracted.

Stepping away from him, she grabbed hold of his neck and plunged her claws into it surrounding his trachea. She ripped out the front of his throat and let him fall to the floor as she moved to catch up with Lynch; she licked her fingers clean. She wondered where Lynch had gone off to as a tingle brought her attention to the tips of her fingers, she watched her claws retract her vision returning to normal.

She walked to the door of the stairwell, Lynch was just standing there waiting for her. He grabbed hold of her arm again as they ran down the stairs. They ran into the SWAT team one floor down. She stood quietly while Lynch pulled out ID showing he was FBI and explained to them that she was a witness to a crime that the men upstairs were hired to take out. They questioned why Meridiana was naked. “I was in the shower when Lynch came for me.”

One of the men dug out one of those silver emergency blankets, still unused and in its compact packaging. They allowed Lynch and Meridiana to pass and soon they emerged in the parking garage.

Soldiers turned toward them as the door clanged shut behind them. Meridiana didn’t even give them time to raise their guns, she launched into them. She threw their bodies into the walls; she punched and kicked out with such force that it would rock an immortal body. She was sure she had killed some of them. Lynch was fighting as well. They both knew they needed to get out of the building.

All the fighting came to an end, bodies were strewn every which way she looked. Satisfied, Lynch jumped into an idling SUV. Meridiana jumped into the passenger side, clutching the packaged emergency blanket.

She didn’t even get the door closed before Lynch put the SUV in gear and gassed it, squealing out of the parking garage. They passed by another group of SUV’s. Lynch ran over a few soldiers on the way past. He wasn’t going to stop for anything. She looked toward him; he was crouching over the steering wheel, eyeing the rearview mirror. She opened the emergency blanket and wrapped it around herself.

Meridiana leaned back against the passenger side door watching Lynch. His eyes widened when he glanced into the rearview mirror. She glanced back and saw why. Another SUV was chasing after them. She looked back to Lynch and noticed the frown on his face. She looked behind them, flashing lights.

She looked back to Lynch and asked, “What are we going to do now?”
Chris drifted out into the street with a squeal of tires, flooring it so he kept his current distance with the succubus’s suburban he weaved in and out of traffic. Up shifting Chris heard the sounds of sirens behind him "Shit, the police!" he thought to himself as he blew past a red light.

Hearing the screech of twisted steel and the blaring of car horns Chris risked a look back; because he had run the red light drivers were screeching to a halt and as a result getting rammed from behind, consequently the intersection was impassable by the time the police reached it.

Smiling to himself Chris resumed his breakneck pace through the streets, weaving in and out of rush hour traffic like a mad man the steam of car horns was nonstop. All of a sudden his radio burped static "Battis this is Riggs, we're in the helicopter en route to you now"

"Roger that Riggs," Chris replied tersely "Standby for my signal for evac"

“Understood Battis” Riggs replied before the noise of the chopper overhead rescinded. Taking his finger off his earpiece he gripped the wheel with both hands and prepared himself for some white knuckle driving.

Flooring the gas the vehicles around him became a blur, the honking of horns and the wail of sirens a continuous drone. Guiding the big suburban in and out of traffic like it was a sports car he started to make some real progress and closed the gap between the two vehicles, bringing his driver’s side parallel to the rear right side of the succubus’s SUV and reached for his sidearm...only to find an empty holster.

Cursing out loud he snaked his right hand over to the glove box and popped it open, finding the expected handgun he tossed it over to his left hand while he shot his right hand to the steering wheel. Lining up his shot he fought to keep in line with the enemy SUV and pulled the trigger, seeing the tire explode in a mess of shredded rubber and sparks as the rim hit the street he brought the pistol in and turned to face the front...only to fly into the rear end of a car idling at a red light.

The suburban slammed into the back of the car at about 70 miles an hour, the armoured front end and heavy engine block protected Chris from any serious injury but he was thrown against the dash hard and the car in front of him was crushed into about half its full size.

Coming to in the totalled suburban Chris coughed as he pulled himself upright, grabbing the pistol he aimed it at the door hinges and pulled the trigger twice. The noise level in such a confined was deafening and Chris had to take a second for the ringing in his ears to die down before he grabbed his rifle and kicked the door open.

The door fell clean off and clattered to the street below, reaching back and pressing the button in the center of the dash he shoved himself out and limped as fast as he could away from the suburban. A police cruiser screamed to a halt and two officers jumped out, not having time to argue with them he raised the G36 and blasted a burst into the cruiser.

Hearing screams from the other side he did not stop to look and kept limping out of there, seconds after he turned the corner a massive explosion took out the suburban and anything within fifty plus feet and shattered glass windows all up and down the street.

Scaring people away from him with his rifle he caught the address of a tall building and walked inside, not paying the distressed patrons nor the powerless security any mind he got on the radio as he walked up stairs “Riggs I need immediate evac at 415 on main!”

“Roger that, on the roof right?”

“Affirmative” Chris replied as he stormed up more flights of stairs and scared off more workers. Hearing the shouts and boot thuds of the police behind him he picked up his injured pace, eventually he made it to the roof.

Stepping onto the roof Chris scanned for the chopper and found nothing, aiming his G36 at the stairwell where the yells of the police were coming from he racked the bolt...they wouldn’t get him without a fight.

Just when he thought that he would have to start shooting the Blackhawk roared in and hovered over his position on the roof, looking up he saw Riggs’s hand throw down a rope ladder. Grasping it and slipping his feet into the rungs the chopper pulled up and away from the police team that was spilling onto the roof.
Lynch Kept looking in the rearview mirror. "guys persistant isn't he?" He smiles and he pushed his foot to the fllor and kept weaving ina nd out of trafic, they guy was still gaining do to Lynch clearing the way.

Lynched looked up in time to see the flash from a gun and then the car lurched to the side and Lynch had to grabed the wheel too keep from hiting a car. at that speed it was a fight as the SUV was going all over the road, the sounds of horns fill the air and metal on metal as their SUV side swipped cars. Lynched hit the breaks, do to the shreaded tire it took longer for the SUV to stop then normal but he got it stoped. He oped the door and got out poping the back as he did.

He ran to the abck as more horns filled the air do to him being stopped in the middle of the road.

He looked back the way they had come when he heard a masive explosiona dn saw a fire ball going skyward."The fucking bastards are trying to kill people." Lych said with discust.
he went back to seraching and found waht he wanted, an emergency kit, he grabed out a thermal blanket from the kit and went the driver side.. at this point some some cars and stoped and some drivers were making their way over to Lynch looking like they were out for blood....till Lynched grabed his rifle and slung it over his back. at that point all hell broke loose as people started to scream and run in all directions, first an explostion down the road, now a guy with a gun.
Lych ignored them as he ran around to the passanger side and opend the door, he raped the target in the blanket and got ehr out of the car and they started to run downt he street from the SUV.

Lynch started to diel his phone as they ran. "This is Lynch, requesting assistants at cordanets, 225, mark 591, by 650. requesting imediat assistance." He said and a calm, female mono tone voice replyed.

"Understood Agent Lynch, a Vehical will be in postion at locations 419, mark 562, by 519." Lynch hung up the phone.
As the Blackhawk pulled higher Chris leaned back in one of the seats taking stock of his body, all things considered he didn't feel too bad. Chris knew that it was mostly to do with luck that he was even in the chopper and not in some jail cell let alone the state of his injuries, swooping low over the city the team's sniper Gordon suddenly hollered out "Hey Captain, I've got them!" he calls out looking very much like the harbinger of death with his eye glued to the scope and his posture like that of a predator "Should I take them down?"

"Negative but put a couple rounds close to them so they think we're trying to before you shoot a tracker discreetly at their vehicle" Chris ordered while pointing at the vehicle that was causing his soldier's instinct to go haywire.

"Are you sure that's their vehicle Captain?" Gordon asked

"Well no," Battis admitted "But it’s the one that's giving me the nastiest feeling"

Gordon nodded as if that was all the proof he needed before he loosely aimed around the running pair with his .50cal Macmillan and opened fire. The boom of the rifle inside the chopper was nothing short of thunderous as the ground around them exploded and Chris watched as the man tackled Meridiana to the ground, out of the obvious line of fire. Or what would have been the obvious line of fire if Gordon was aiming to kill, knowing that he'd never get a better opportunity to secretly get a transmitter attached to their vehicle he dropped the remaining ammo out of his weapon and cycled in a tracker.

This time when he pulled the trigger the rifle made a much more subdued crack, like a pellet would and the tracker whizzed out of the barrel on a course to the vehicle. Before Chris could check to see if they made it into the right vehicle the booming voice of a police officer rang resounded behind him "You in the chopper, lay down your weapons and land immediately!"

Ignoring them I turn back to Gordon "Can you put a bullet somewhere on that chopper that disables it without killing the crew?" I ask

"Does a pig wallow in shit?" he asks rhetorically before spinning around and sighting on the police chopper, bracing himself as he does. Drawing in a breath he exhales slowly and half way through he pulls the trigger, the effect is nothing short of spectacular as the shot punches deep into the main rotor housing.

Sparking and belching smoke it drops so fast that Chris is sure it is crashing, seconds before it would have crashed into busy streets the pilot recovers and instead turns a deadly crash into a messy but serviceable landing. High fiving Gordon Chris turns back to the pilots back in the cockpit of their Blackhawk "Get us back to HQ, we'll have to give them this round" Chris barked and with that the chopper speeds back to base.

As the chopper settles in for a landing Chris sees several big hulking figures strolling around in what looked to be bulky black power armor. As the chopper settles down on its pad and the pilots begin to flip switches on their control panel Chris slides out of the troop bay and makes his way over to the scowling Director at the edge of the chopper's blades.

Coming up out of his crouch Chris noticed one of the black clad figures was standing beside the director while the rest were unpacking equipment and turning the motor pool into their base of operations "So Battis, where's the woman?" the Director asked without preamble.

"Well sir, she got away" Battis admitted

"Why am I not surprised Battis," the Director shook his head and Chris swore he could hear the sound of Tsk, tsk "To that end I've asked the president for help"

"Is that what these guys are...the president's 'help'?" Chris replied with a level of mistrust

"Indeed they are Captain, I'd like you to bring Lieutenant Crenshaw and his team from the United States Occult Warfare Bureau up to speed on your efforts to capture this creature and come up with a plan to catch her this time"

"Yes Director" Battis responded before Crenshaw and he took off to formulate a plan, Chris hellbent and determined to get her back now that he had some of the best special forces in all of the United States that were equipped and trained to deal with Occult and Supernatural.
Lynch got ehr into the car befor eher tossed his rifle into the back and got int he driver seat.
As he started to car and small light started blinking on the dash. "SO...they want to track us do they?"He said smiling." well...let's give them somthing to chace." As he pulled away from the curve he took out his cell phone. "This is Lynch."He said and the cool, monoton female voice replied.
"What is it Agent Lynch?" It asked.
"I got a freeloader that wants a tour of the city." He replied.
"Understood Agent Lych, Proceed to 329 Mark 439, 541." the voice clicked off and Lynch hung up his cell.

HTey drove for a few blocks and then stoped at a light, a main dressed in a black tentch coat liek the one Lynch wore steped from the side walk as Lynch got out, then man got in the car and as soona s Lynch ahd the girla nd his gun the ligth turned greena nd the car rolled away.
Now then, shall we get to a safer place?"He asked ehr as they started to walk.
