L'aura del campo

'é a lua, é a lua, na quintana dos mortos'
♣ Federico García Lorca ♣

Higgins Street Bridge, April 25th 2009, Missoula, Montana

L'aura del campo. A breeze in the meadow. So it began the last day of Spring, 2005; on the 16th day of the month of Light of the year 162. This is a supplement to my daily journal written to a friend, my muse; notes I do not share. Here I will share what the breeze has whispered to me.

It is 'difficult' to self assess writing (unless it is ab-fab brilliant = almost never). Other people's response can indicate whether a poem is publishable or a keeper.

So... for the 30 day image contest:

These days received a 10: 4, 7, 8, 11, 12.

"Ex bananas [120] /30:4.1&2/Open in new Window.
"Umbilical forever [124]Open in new Window.
"Knock on wood [127]Open in new Window.
""My poodle made me drop my paper in a puddle" [131]Open in new Window.
"O sunlit child of darkened skies [133]Open in new Window.

These received a 9: 10, 15, 16, 18, 30.

"What she remembers before the lamp gutters out [130]Open in new Window.
"Stories of stone [138]Open in new Window.
"Angels at the Masquerade [139]Open in new Window.
"Beside you [147]Open in new Window.
"Homing PigeonOpen in new Window.

It went as low as 5... but we all have those days! *Wink*

I will not end up in 1st place... but that wasn't my goal. The opinions of the judges is useful. It'll help sort the poems and short prose.

Thanks to everyone.
