Every so often I have a thought or two, I might as well write them here...they may be political thoughts (I hate war, polluters and thieves), or thoughts about American culture (which I wished we really had) or even religious thoughts (I don't play favorites)...but you're invited to see these thoughts of mine right here.
And so we have the ankles of Tornadoes and Texas Belle's, their batting eyelashes (I think that'd be a fine name for a power-hitting women's softball team, don't you?), as well as tossing heads (wild horses couldn't drag me away), and coquettish falderol (which I'm not sure what that means).
It occurs to me (taking things from the top) that the saying is not 'well ankles', but well-turned ankles (as a woodworker let me inform you these well-turned ankles can not be made on your ususal lathe). Knowing that your 'Texas Belle's are quite the dancers, I still have to think your Tornado's ankles turn weller (or at least a good deal faster, for crying out loud!).
Well-turned ankles has just about fatigued me, here, I'll leave any other falderol to those males with more gumption.
The difference, honey, is that we know how to turn such things into endearing faux pas with a toss of the head, a bat of the eye, and other coquettish falderol. We merely gave you a peek of the well ankle...... lol
I'm getting all weepy here! You've seen it! Dumb statements directed at the opposite sex may not be, specifically, a male problem! Well, gentle readers, it appears women aren't immune to exceptionally stupid comments either!
Don't that turn a lot of stuff around, 'ey?
I'd still advise the male folks out there to not make a big deal out the knowledge these women have inadvertantly given us. Keep playing dumb, it is your strong suit and besides, what else have you got?
Once there was a woman who was sweet and kind and never ever said the wrong thing! That was me! *sigh* But that was a long time ago.....and it was just that one day!
A bucket of henna? Oh, Jiminy Crickets, but it did make me laugh because when I say things like that it seems the words physically form and dance through the air. They linger like the smoogy on your teeth. Poor Dale.
It's times like these I wish I would have had a female sibling. As mentioned earlier, by brothers have a connection that I will never enjoy because we may be the same but we are different. As far as the fish diet I think you can consider yourself part of the in-crowd because all the talk is eating more fish. Oh, and since your last post I saw a show where these guys were fishing halibut.....they are HUGE! I'm really impressed with your fishing skills to be able to land one of those puppies!
Look forward to seeing you on your new Food Network program!
It's a tender and frightening thing -- to be reminded of our own mortality. Even in the coming home, we are preparing to leave.......and the candles we burn will soon smoke into darkness...... The best we can hope for is that we leave love as proof we were.....
So, you went to Alaska just for the...........HALIBUT! Oh, but I do crack me up! I loved how you two were able to mix a bit site seeing with the fishing trip. Must be a brothers' thing because my brothers feel the need to get out alone from time to time, fishing or hunting.
For me it was war correspondent, Laura Logan. Put a gun in her hands and... ur... ah... Ahem. Maybe I'll start watching the news again, but why would anybody want chocolate all over their phone?
