I am starting a new chapter in my life..... |

I started job hunting today...... sort of. I am working with my new friend Audrey (employment specialist) to get ready to go job hunting. We're going to be redoing my wardrobe (somewhat) and doing practice interviews and such. This is where the journey will be documented for posterity. I also will throw in news about my writing now and again as that is what the site is for. |
Went out on job development with Audrey this afternoon. Computers were down at CMH, so Audrey couldn't access the list of jobs she wanted to take me to for inquiries/applying. She also could not access my resume to print it off (which it needs to be updated anyhow). We went to Orthopedic Associates and found out that we need to drop off a resume to apply. We went to Goodwill Industries and picked up an application for me to fill out. We went to Menards and I had to fill out the application there. I think they were doing on the spot interviews, but we just filled out the application and left. I don't think I'm going to hear from them. I filled out a lot of things wrong and my references are non-existent. I doubt any of my former jobs will remember me fondly, if at all, I wore a black dress with a grey sweater over it. The dress was long. It didn't feel right, especially after Terry told me it was her dress. I can't wait to be able to go get some descent clothes for interviewing and working. |
