I am starting a new chapter in my life.....

I started job hunting today...... sort of.
I am working with my new friend Audrey (employment specialist) to get ready to go job hunting.
We're going to be redoing my wardrobe (somewhat) and doing practice interviews and such.

This is where the journey will be documented for posterity.

I also will throw in news about my writing now and again as that is what the site is for.

Kathi took me to the post office and library yesterday. I've been aware for some time that I need help. I'm also aware that I'm too depressed to ask. Years ago I didn't get disability support until I caved in. These days feel similar.

At least today was a good day for me.

Oh... and I have my cursor back. It was red before it disappeared. Now it's golden. I have no clue...

I skipped OctoPrep. Too stressful for me. I've done it successfully in the past though. Good luck with that too.

I basically have to do things on my own time as the whip of a deadline doesn't move me unless the whip is in my own hand and even then... self-flagellation isn't healthy.

No one will die if I don't write the Great American Novel.

I was brought up never to write in books. These days I keep a sharpened pencil handy and scribble to my Muse's delight.

Good luck with the job. When I interviewed people, I honestly watched not what they said as much as how they communicated. Eye contact, or just being "present" in the interview. I liked it when they paused before just blurting out an answer. I liked it when they would say something like I had asked a good question that they had thought about for some reason or another. I was looking for people who were team players, good communicators, and it was a plus if they smiled. PS: I can't find your 2nd trinket?

what is new today?

I finished three assignments for October Novel Prep. OF course, I'm not putting forth my best effort at all. Why should I? So that someone can tell me I didn't do it in time so it doesn't count anyhow? Please I don''t even want to go there again. I still get irate every time I think about it.

I finished reading the book on writing I was reading and highlighting. It is a good book with a lot of sound advice. It calmed me down plenty of times when I was feeling like chucking it all more often than not lately.

Went out with Sally yesterday and explored a new store. It had some interesting deals including 10 notebooks or folders or combination thereof for $1. I got a combination but I've been kicking myself ever since that I should of got 10 of each.
Got a couple of other things including a bunch of hair clips for Terry.

Today other than the little bit of writing I did I lazed about. Still fighting this darn cold. Being pushed into medicating more than I want to but that's what II get for living with others who claim to care about me.

Tomorrow I am to go out with Audrey with job development again. Should be interesting.
