I've never heard of Mary Brown's chicken. I grew up with Kentucky Fried chicken, my grandpa when me and my siblings would stay the summer with him on payday he would bring us home a bucket with the sides and we would have game night with him.
I grew up as a preacher's kid. I believed I had a relationship with God. Looking back it was an artificial one kind if. I was doing a lot of talking, but I hadn't learned to listen. Life changed for me when I began reading the Bible daily. It didn't happen overnight but gradually. I began learning God's personality. I began to see my own sins more clearly than ever before. I began to realize how much God loves us and how much and why our sins offend him. I will pray for you.
Don't give up on Nano. I still have 3 stories I haven't finished either. It's my goal to finish this year. So far, I am not too far off target. Hopefully, this will be my year to do it.

My kids always laughed because I would gather different leaves and put them inside wax paper then tuck them into my cookbooks. They're a joyful surprise when I bake pumpkin bread or when I begin making cookies for Christmas especially now because we don't have foliage here in the desert.
