I weighed in the 290s for around five months, I was 292 and some change a few days ago. On Tuesday February 25th, I had to walk and ride my bicycle 3.5 miles to an appointment. I had to get my blood drawn on an empty stomach. I ate a sandwich and drank a pint of low-fat milk at a store on the way home.

When I got home, I had walked and ridden 7 miles round trip.

When I woke up the next day, I was 289.4 pounds! This morning I was 289.8 pounds. Fasted cardio definitely did the trick. I have another appointment on the 20th of March to check my blood pressure, and I will be walking there. Hopefully, I lose more weight!

They say that bodybuilding prepares you for doing other things; if you can practice bodybuilding, then you can apply yourself to do any other difficult things. I believe the opposite is also true. If you can force yourself to do things you don’t want to do, then you can be a bodybuilder.

Sometimes I need to urinate several times a night, and I force myself to get up despite not wanting to. The same thing when I need to cook or do dishes, I force myself to do these tasks. This has prepared me to remain consistent with weight training.

I’ve been consistent with my weight training for the past two weeks. I train legs on Saturday, chest and back Sunday, shoulders Monday, and arms Tuesday.

It feels good to get pumped up four days a week, and having three days off really helps me stay consistent, so I’m not overwhelmed. I think my mistake in last years was going too Gung Ho and getting burned out too soon.

I’ve been training with weights on a four day split. I trained legs on Saturday, back and chest on Sunday, shoulders on Monday, and arms on Tuesday. I take two days off, so I train legs tomorrow.

I’m at my lowest weight of the new year today. I attribute it to these variables: eating healthy meals, cutting out those Wylers lemonade drinks, and exercising.

For breakfast, I eat one cup (dry measure) of cooked Quaker Oats with one cup of plain, non-fat Greek yogurt and two teaspoons of cinnamon.

For lunch, I have 5 large hardboiled eggs, one pouch of Seeds of Change organic brown rice and quinoa, and a slice of Dave’s killer bread with 2.5 ounces of guacamole.

For dinner, I either have two ounces of Durham whole wheat noodles with boneless, skinless chicken breast and cabbage, onion and celery and 4 ounces of sugar free barbecue sauce; or I’ll have boneless, skinless chicken breast with broccoli and one pouch of Seeds of Change organic brown rice and quinoa.

I threw away all my old pills today. I had acetaminophen and vitamin c pills that had expired, and some glutamine powder from Beverly International that was three years old.

Before February 1st, I made a log for my meals this month, and another log for my training. I plan on doing full body workouts twice a week. I read about Steve Reeves, a bodybuilder in the 1950s, and he did full body workouts three times a week. I’m out of shape, so I’ll train twice a week for the time being.

I’ve been eating Seeds of Change brown rice and quinoa every day, this morning my weight was the lowest it has been so far this year. I’ve also been buying Kirkland organic chunky guacamole from Costco.

I ordered some BCAA capsules from Amazon.com and they should get here Monday.
