I don't care for politics at all.

Wonderful site. I have a heart for animals. I wish I was able to buy a few acres and open a rehailitation home to help abandoned, neglected and abused animals. That's always been a dream of mine. I wish I could help them all. But of course, I can't, so I help those I am able through whatever means I can.

Thank you so much for bringing the need to the forefront.

Hi and glad you found Writing dot Com! I've been on live journal and many places over the past 20 years. The climate of people and reactions has changed. Some are understanding and some as you said " judgemental". For the most part it's a supportive site here. ( You will find the others pretty much anywhere!
I've only had an incident here once in 20 years with one person, pretty good odds!
I welcome 😁 you here both for WDC and my humble little corner of the universe!

Hello there! Just stopping by to read and comment. I am new-ish here and really getting into reading other's perspectives on life.
I was a long time diarist over at Open Diary for over a decade, and had developed a decent smattering of people that read my entries, and actually made a few real life friends in the process, but I did find that at the end of 2021, things took a turn, and some readers became WAY more judgmental and critical. It began to feel less friendly and supportive there, so I left. I found this site thanks to Tracker, and am enjoying it so far.

Where I am currently staying, in California, there are a few out of control wildfires happening about 20 minutes from our place- close enough to be affected by the smoke, and seeing VERY red sunsets from our neighborhood. It's heartbreaking and scary.

Anyway, I will be reading more of your stuff. Very interesting so far.

Thanks 😊 glad I did too! That's so awesome your a Rescue Mom helping those needy kitties 😻. The world needs more good conscious souls like you taking action.

I save my change in a charity box ( sometimes called a Pushka) I pray and when it fills up,we bring a 12 pack of Friskies to the animal rescue down the road.
Every bit helps!

I'm glad you posted again. I am wearing a Resue Mom T-shirt. I help some feral cats. (feed them) And now they are all fixed and ready for homes. Good luck with your book of poems. You can do it!
I am 72 and I keep telling myself I could still live another 30 years.

Not feeling great but oh well here goes!🙏🌹

Been up since the sun rose. Had important appointment to help a friend.
I'm doing preparation for being in the
Blog Week Birthday Bastion.
I've never been part of the Birthday celebration for WDC before.
Usually, I didn't know or have time but this year will be different!
( I haven't been feeling well for a couple of months and had to wait for a primary care person to be available next week. )
Didn't want to commit unless I thought I could finish.
So will be Blogging and have been researching groups on WDC.
Making progress.

Hi y'all I just copied the above from my weekly goals.
I've been pretty drained past few days ( probably more than that!)
Been praying every day to thank God G-d for returning my soul to me and to give me the strength to make another day!
I posted 6 days ago but no one ( saw it) or said hey. People are busy with summer , other projects and I get it!
I'm looking forward to the above Writing dot Com BD bash. Maybe will feel better by then.
I'm usually more social but, well many get what I mean 😉.
I appreciated the inspiration to write more Haiku and other things from the folks, posted on my wall! I did write a new one to add! Hopefully more soon 🤞.
