So Still a Swift I am transported back to childhood days when I stood with extended arms hank of yarn entrapped and a single strand from there to my mother’s hands rolling the yarn, rolling, into the required ball. The Human Body Emits Visible Light This one has the aura of bunkum since “visible” means we can see it so the saying is merely conundrum leaving us no way to free it from our minds and leave it behind where it belongs as essentially wrong. Disappointment It didn’t come today they promised yesterday it would be here tomorrow yet here sit I in sorrow the day has reached its eve and hope is set to leave expectancy is numb tomorrow never comes. Rationalisations As a child, I viewed the poles (and books often illustrated them as such) as actual poles sticking up from the snow, being the visible ends of the physical axis around which our blue-green globe turned. Small Moments Where silence reigns absolute and time releases its hold the world coalesced to an instant insight revealed in the mundane. There in the frozen moment life concentrated unfiltered through care and concern of what lies beyond the bend.
