Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

The idea was always unlikely
apart from being unsightly
and had no chance of winning
in being the very beginning
that all was once just a dot
that exploded in this very spot
so everything came from nothing -
methinks they were merely bluffing.
