Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

I once saw a dog catch a car,
he didn’t know what to do;
we prob’ly wouldn’t go far,
if we caught what we hunted too.
We seek the eternal daydream,
chase thoughts of money and fame,
avid our plans and our schemes,
but end in the place whence we came.
