Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

Oh, modern moon,
whose pockmarked face
floats sickly in our clouded sky,
footprinted, spacejunked,
we know you well,
too intimate now
to conjure myth
from familiarity.
