Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

Thou shalt not pass,
my arms akimbo,
myriad fingers spread upon the sky,
I leer with yawning mouth,
