I have to wonder how many of us write in a cafe.
It seems I can write almost anyplace as long as I have music, but oddly enough a cafe on a rainy day can be fertile ground. It is the faces of the people as they come in, some look tired and frustrated, others seem happy and buoyant, just useful for collecting facial expressions and trying to write what the person maybe thinking... Anyway, doing that as a bit of a warmup each day to get the mind unknotted so I can get some actual work done.
The trick is not to drink too much coffee.
