These are short poems, many written for {item:"EXPRESS IT IN EIGHT " or other challenges. Don't let the size deter you, although short and to the point, many of these poems have much larger messages.
Wonderful, I can see the old oak out my window on my property, and it reminded me of the wind and storm scared old tree... and then it remined me of my own life and battered soul.
The rock wall rises straight to the sky,
If I loose my grip I will fall and die.
Just my fingers and toes suspend my weight
Gripping cracks in rock, they hold my fate!
It's over a hundred feet down, if I fall;
The tops a hundred more, this cliff is tall.
My fingers slip and I plummet and scream —
To wake in my bed, it was all a bad dream.
