Come On In
and
LETS BLOG
Hello and Welcome to my second attempt to create a Blog. My first one kind of bit the dust mainly because I didn't understand what I was dealing with. Not that I do now, but I do have a better focus on the writing world. There are so many things to talk about and so many things to do "together."
I spent some time looking at other blogs and I noticed that people here love to interact with one another and groups. So, I thought I would focus on making my blog an interactive one.
My intention with this blog is to make an entry every day. I am working on my first attempt at writing fantasy. I am also a member of an intense challenge,
Trains, trees and flowers. Plus any cat, stray or not that needs to be petted. I love caramel flan but chocolate...
Small things tend to make me smile.
My favs on your list:
11. The train whistle in the middle of the night and 4:00 am.
I live in a mobile home park near the train tracks. Did you know that the trains sound different late at night than they do during the day? They do. During the day, they sound muffled and always in a hurry. Late at night, they have a hollow and lonely sound, as if they are lost.
12. Trees
Always standing tall, strong and at attention. So many of them have been around for years—generations. I look at them and feel the history that they must have seen. Especially the trees in the forests.
I'd have to say my talent is typing. I began taking typing classes in the eighth grade and continued throughout high school. By the time I was in eleventh grade, I could type 80 words per minute. I was so proud of myself. I enjoyed typing and the sounds the typewriter and then keyboards made. I remember going to some kind of office with my mother when I was about eleven years old and listening to and watching a secretary type. I loved it, and when I was able to learn, I jumped at the opportunity. We learned how to type on manual typewriters first because the teacher said it would make our pinkie fingers strong enough to push down the keys. To this day, I love typing and listening to the sound of the keys being pressed.
Yay. I'm also doing Sunny's Welcome to my reality blogging challenge. She asks fantastic but sometimes hard questions. I enjoyed reading about Horse Meadows...sounds lovely!
I love sewing! Even ax A child, I'd sit for hours sewing Barbie and doll outfits while mom made us kids all sorts of clothes. I'm not great at it. But I sti!l !I've to sew simple things for the house. My husband has a talent for quilting. His mom taught him.
