I started my blog in June 2016, intending to have a place to get my stories in the hands of readers. I started with one follower -- my wife. Seven years later, I am creeping toward 500 followers. I post a daily quote, as well as short stories, vignettes, and updates on our rebuilding project.

Dense, tropical heat hung in the air, heavy with the scent of saltwater and damp earth. The sun hung low in the sky, casting its golden rays across the town nestled at the edge of the sea. Waves crashed against the shore. The slow susurrations against the sand, a reminder of nature’s unwavering pulse.
