An eye with clock face reflected.


Eye Time

A staring contest, eye to eye,
unblinking concentration
‘gainst human weakness, mild and shy,
a proud determination.

And so does time itself tick by,
in silent conflagration
their frailty in this belied,
regretting instigation.
