This one was complicated. I wasn't sure whether the grandfather knew or didn't know what was happening. He certainly didn't seem to while his girls were there. I remember having to introduce myself to my grandmother several times during the course of a conversation when the dementia had nearly taken her and I was in my thirties. Always in relation to her. It's difficult when nothing seems to reach someone. I liked the way that you captured the grandfather and the difficulty that the grandchildren had trying to approach him when all the familiar paths were lost. Nice work.
I don't know if I should assume the grandpa was just messing with them or he really has a case of dementia. If its the latter, despite the 'happy' ending, it is sad as well.
Good job capturing the way the disease does affect people at the age and its effects on their loved ones as well.
Thanks for your entry!
Finally, Nikitha gathered her courage to enter there. She fought with her fear. And see, things turned out to be all fine. That's a good plot with a good ending.
The fear of the unknown can always be frightening. It was a nice turn of events that she discovered the entire place had changed since her last visit there.
I'm glad that the experience turned out to be less of a problem than she thought it would be. But I think the bravest people face their fears, and this character did that. Nicely done.
Well done! You were able to capture the struggles our healthcare workers have had to deal with recently, but yet manage to highlight the humanity and simple joy that can come with something as miraculous as childbirth.
A birthday celebration to remember indeed. Thanks for your entry!
A heart touching story beautifully written. We often take it for granted but doctors do so much for us. Priya's story is reality of doctors and corona warrior.
