Senior thinking of a lasting relationship as time passes by.
Time is running short
The clock is winding down
We are only of the moment
And will not always be around
Friendship connected by phone lines
Two similar minds, entwined.

Time is very allusive
The clock is but a gage
Today runs off of yesterday
Tomorrow is but a blink away
Oh how I wish time would slow down
There is so much I haven't said
And our story is incomplete as read.

I with you, and you with me
This is how I wish it could be
We would talk of happiness
Sadness, strength and weakness
But we are of the moment
And moments seem to quickly pass
Oh how I pray to the Father
He would allow for this encounter to last.

Time is becoming shorter
But the clock still runs fast
Will He let us be together
Not just a connection from the past
Closer than phone calls or ink upon a page
Before the trumpets begin to sound
And before the angels sing.
