Welcome to my blog: I intend to share heartfelt writing about anything that comes to mind. |
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scripture: 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. Observations: Verse 13- We are no longer bound by the law of Moses. Therefore, we are under the law of liberty and freedom in Christ. However, we need to use our freedom to love and put others before ourselves. We should not use our freedom in Christ as an excuse to commit sin. Verse 14- Basically all the laws of Moses can be summed up as love others as you love yourself. (This also means we should love ourselves like we love others.) Verse 15- Obviously, when we are at war with one another and fighting, then someone is likely to get hurt. Application: Even Christ said the first commandment was to love God with all your heart and the second was to love your neighbor as yourself. Keep these 2 things in mind, and all the commandments and laws of God are based on these 2 principles. We don't want to use our freedom in Christ as an excuse to sin. We are to use the freedom God gives us to love others with the Love of God like he has loved us. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the freedom I have in you. Help me to never misuse any of the precious gifts you give. Help me to love others the way you love them and me too. Give me the wisdom to put others before myself. In the sweet name of Jesus, Amen ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gratitude List 1. Warm showers 2. Humor 3.
