Thank you! It has been a long time coming for us! We were almost afraid it wouldn't ever happen. We always seemed to be a step behind the housing market (and the rental market for that matter lol). Going from a 660 sqft apartment to our house has been the best thing in my life lately! It still feels like a dream some days.

It sad how very little we know about the brain and how it works, other than the extreme basics (electricity! and salts!). It would be interesting how somethings affect it while others don't. How some people we don't really think about enter our dreams but those we love and cherish don't (unless there are tragic, traumatic, or other extreme reasons). At least with my experience in my dreams. I think that it is interesting how some people see dreams in color and some don't (I do and just assumed everyone did!). Some hear sounds in their dreams and some don't. And then there are some who dream and those who do not. My mom said that she used to and when I had gotten older she told me that she didn't dream anymore, but that she'd heard we dream every night, so she assumed maybe she just didn't remember dreaming (She did have a dream when I was like 12~ years old when her sister's husband passed away and she went to stay with her for the weekend, she thought she was awake and had heard me call for her, but didn't see me and assumed it was one of her nieces calling for her mom and her sister had just gone to sleep and didn't want to wake her so she didn't say anything. Come to find out it wasn't either of them and she wondered if she just dreampt it, even though it seemed like she was awake at the time. I always thought that was interesting).

You did have some very interesting dreams. I kind of waver between wondering if our dreams are the playthings of our subconscious or they do bring something to attention due to our and everything else's connection in the creation. Maybe someday, we'll get to know the truth.

I think this year has messed everyone up with Covid. Everyone in my house got it, some were asymptomatic, some of us got hit bad. I've had lingering effects now that just makes it so hard to write. Now where I live, we went into complete lockdown last week, the first province in Manitoba to do it for this second wave, and it just so rejecting, but you got to do what you got to do. Keep on trying to write, it will come back to you, you were always an amazing writer.

Yeah, this year has been pretty much a wreck. I have ideas, but no energy or motivation to write beyond blogging. But that's not related to the pandemic for me. University completely sapped my creativity. Too much times spent studying, writing papers, working with spreadsheets, etc.

I thought I'd be able to get my creative writing flow back being at work this year, but then the pandemic happened and even though I'm working from home, I feel totally suffocated after months of just sitting inside. Definitely cabin fever vibes that aren't conducive for motivation.

It does sound like Matt, and likely you too, could've had covid at the beginning of the year. It has pretty much been established that it was widespread by that time, but testing wasn't really a thing then.

I hope you'll find some way to write. I know it sucks to have ideas and not be able to get them out.

- Awesome! I was figuring it was more using your fears in plot related things, so yay!

- I've always loved mythology too! It's been fun to use them in a fun way. I can't wait to get to where I can actually begin writing and implement them! I'm hoping it comes out as good as I have in my head.

Sunrises and Sunsets

Prompt:
Sunsets and Sunrise

“Why did dusk and fir-scent and the afterglow of autumnal sunsets make people say absurd things?”

Describe a sunset or sunrise that took your breath away. What emotions did it stir in you?

I was very lucky to have grown up just a few miles off of Lake Ontario when I lived in New York. I got spoiled with both sunrises and sunsets. Sunsets I've seen most and if you would like to see some examples, just Google: "Oswego, NY sunsets" and you'll get to see some. A lot of local photographers love to take photos of them so there are a lot to peruse through. Which makes me happy since I've moved to Indiana 11 (already somehow!) years ago.

I went to college at SUNY Oswego, which was 20 minutes from where I lived, and I remember that it was constantly mentioned that Oswego had the best sunsets in the country. I never really thought about it until I was older and especially after I've moved and I've gotten to experience them since experiencing the ones here. They really are so pretty and just...a moment. They're never the same and you can't help but stop doing what you're doing and just watch.

Having lived in central Indiana for the last 11 years, I miss being so close to Lake Ontario. There's a type of peace that it brings and it's definitely emphasized when there's a sunrise or sunset. It's a type of peace that is internal. I miss that a lot. Definitely something I took for granted, even though I appreciated having it so close by.
