My husband takes his phone everywhere. He gets so frustrated with me because I always keep my phone in vibrate mode and if I'm not near it I don't hear it. I use my phone more for pictures than actual phone calls. My Iphone takes incredible pictures and a lot easier to carry with me than my Nikon.
Like your hubby when I am out walking I do carry my phone so they can find me if needed. This growing old isn't what I was led to believe.

It's funny. I don't remember TV playing a big part in my life growing up. After all, I spent most of the day (when not at school) outside playing with friends.
I do remember we had a black and white TV (I was hooked on Batman) back in the 60's. I can't recall when we got a color TV. Fast forward to 2025--my wife and I watch a 98" TV.
Oh, and that $1000 TV in 1954 is the equivalent to almost $12,000 today. What a TV you could buy for $12,000.
That's a very good point - it makes no sense to single out one month. I'm guessing she was referring to those parts of the world where March represents the beginning of Spring rather than Autumn, new beginnings etc., but even then, it's a bit of a sweeping statement.
Nothing ever goes truly to plan does it? - well said!
I bought my granddaughter an organizer for her crochet hooks instead of candy this year. Last year I gave her art supplies. My daughter handles the candy in our home. My other grandchildren when they were younger, I sent them things they liked to do. I'm not the candy supplier either.
I like the idea of pajamas, maybe next year that's what I'll get her new spring nightgowns.
I'm finding it very challenging after my knee surgery. Jeans that I used to wear don't have enough stretch around the knee (it's still swelling) and I don't want to buy new jeans. Even sweat pants are too narrow right now around the knee. Capris' hit right above the knee but smack dab in the middle of the swelling. I hate wearing shorts so I'm wearing knit pajama pants when I go out and while I'm home in a nightgown. The nerve spasms are still an issue.
I agree with you about the cut, I hate jeans that when I sit my butt crack shows so the rise is a huge deal which takes online shopping off the table for me.
What are your feelings on daylight savings? Do you think it still has a purpose or is it time to end it?
Oh goodness this subject come up every few years or so. Here in the West of Australia we don’t have daylight savings any more after many trials.
Oh, the for and against arguments get quite heated. Faded curtains, confused cows and other off the chart ideas all have had an airing. The Eastern states still have to contend with it each year, leaving a three hour time differential between one side of the country and the other. I have always hated it. I’m always so pleased to see the sun go down as early as possible in the summer here. After days in the high thirty to forty degrees we need a few hours of darkness before bedtime.
I’m not aware of the time differences in the US and which states have daylight saving thrust upon them, or what the general consensus might be. Perhaps someone could enlighten me. Maybe some people think it’s great but it’s not for me.
