PROMPT: July 29th - Reflect on the month as a whole. Any highlights from your personal life? Challenges? What were your favorite prompts from the 30DBC? Did you learn anything from or about your fellow competitors? The highlight for July is finishing thirty poems to the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Bab and placing them in "Bicentenary Poems and Prose" . Making a doctor's appointment with my primary care physician on Saturday, July 57, to have one of my prescriptions filled. I normally don't make doctors appointments on a weekend, but I need the prescription filled so I had no choice. I didn't see the doctor, but I spoke with her nurse practitioner. The only other interesting thing was the invasion of grasshoppers, they were mostly on the Las Vegas strip and in the richer areas of town. My favorite prompts were the alphabet prompt and the vacation prompt. I read some of the entries, but not a lot of them. When I read an entry I will like it; however, I don't always comment. I always attempt to read Robert Waltz because he always gives me something to think about. At 72, I need to keep my mind active and working. |
