War shall cease between nations, and by the will of God the Most Great Peace shall come; the world will be seen as a new world, and all men will live as brothers." Help them, O God, in their endeavor, and grant them strength to serve Thee. O God! What is your opinion of New Year’s Resolutions? Do you make them? Do you keep them? New Year's Resolutions New Year's resolutions are wonderful inventions because they are inspiring, creative, encouraging, ego-building, frustrating, and ego-busting little demons simultaneously. In order for them to succeed properly, people need plans on how they are to be achieved. People need to reevaluate them either every month or every three months. In addition, it is wise to rename them. Do Not call them New Year's Resolutions because that raises fear in an individual's subconscious mind and suggest an excuse when they aren't accomplished. After all, they were just New Year's resolutions and New Year's Day is past. This year, instead of making resolutions, I created a "Goals To List", with eleven items on it. Nine of those items I will reevaluate between March 2 and March 20. At that time, I will change or throw out any of the nine items that I have either accomplished (reasonably well) or no longer excite/enthuse me. The only items on that list I will not change are the two spiritual items. Those two items are (1) place everything in God's hands each morning and (2) bring myself to account each evening. Goals To Do List for 2019 Each morning place the day in God's hands. Submit each week to "I Write in 2019" . Respond to "Invalid Item" prompts in "Welcome to My Life" each week. Write 200 poems to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Bab and place them in "Bicentenary Poems and Prose" . Include a birth in one or more stories submitted to contests. See "Action/Adventure Newsletter (December 19, 2018)" . Set up editing schedule and deadline (at least one day before the Monday specific newsletter is due) for upcoming news letters. Respond to, at least, 20 prompts for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" in January, and after January add "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" and "Blogging Circle of Friends " . The responses will be in "I Blog Poetry and Prose" . Respond to "Invalid Item" Topic of the Week each week. Do a better job of keeping track of my finances by checking my bank account every day. Placeholder for project I need to finish in 2019 if it isn't finished by January 1, 2019. Once this project is complete, this becomes a placeholder for whatever comes up during the year. "Poem Experiments" "Devotional Poetry" "Memories of Snow" Bring myself to account each day, in writing. |
