Once you get out of a habit --for whatever reason--it's hard to get back into it. I'm attempting to get back to writing and meditating, because it's easier for me to write when I meditate. I ordered a meditation and gratitude journal from the Baha'i Publishing Trust, which should arrive in the next week or so. |
Today I responded to a review request. It was a good story. I'm getting back into writing poems and will post some in my blog or enter them into contest. I'm also going to post stuff from my pen and paper journal. |
How do I pick my favorite scripture verse when the Bab, Baha'u'llah, and 'Abdu'l-Baha have revealed and written so many. Maybe I need to pick one verse from each and write about them individually. One of my favorite scriptures by the Bab is the Remover of difficulties. It is about four sentences long, but it is inspiring and helps me overcome worries. "Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praise be to God! He is God! All are His servants and all abide by His bidding! The Bab |
I finally finished reading The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I'm not sure what I'm going to read next. |
I read the prayer at the beginning of the small prayer book. It begins with "Blessed is the spot" and realize that the Long-term care facility I live in is blessed. It is blessed because God's name is mentioned and praised even in a whispered prayer. |
It's the day before Valentine's Day and I've finished my small box of chocolates. I've got other treats stashed in a Christmas bag, which I 'll get out and put in a container I've got on the dresser. I have to finish cleaning out the bed side table before March 20, when the Baha'i New Year starts. |
Blessed is the planet on which God's name is spoken, praised, and glorified. |
Prayer gives you W ings helps you ascend Into the sky of trust in God. Prayer lets your soul fly above your doubts and glide above the ground of fear rather than plummet and hide. |
Thirty-eight days until Naw-Ruz and the beginning of the Baha'i New Year. I'm looking forward to it, because it gives me a chance to refocus on my spiritual goals. I have a new journal ready to begin the year. I've also decided on which book I will be reading and meditating on. I will start the year reading Summon of the Lord of Hosts, which is a compilation of the letters Baha'u'llah wrote to the kings and rulers in power during His life time. What other books I'm going to read during 182 B. E. I don't know yet. Some of those will depend on what I have access to here at this long-term care facility or on writing.com. |
Verse by verse I readThe Hidden Words the perfume of the revelations of all the prophets of God of old and restated by the Lord of Hosts. I meditate on these gems of wisdom these radiant reflections of paradise that in this day descended to Earth from the pen of the Glory of God. |
Don't worry! Remember the words of The Bab: "God sufficeth all things above all things and nothing in the heavens or in the earth, or in anything that lieth between them but God sufficeth. Verily He is in Himself the Knower, the Sustained, the Omnipotent." Don't worry! Remember the words of Baha'u'llah: "God is sufficient unto me: He verily is the all-sufficing! In Him let the trusting trust. " |
Don't panic! This present darkness isn't the ultimate end of humanity, it's only the darkness before the dawn of unity. |
12 years ago today my mother's soul ascended into the Abha Paradise. Today I said the prayer revealed by 'Abdu'l-Baha for the advancement of her soul. |
I managed to review and send a merit badge today. I hope to keep this up for the next few days. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday so I don't know what I'll be able to do that day. 4 |
I've managed to post my goals, now I have to work on posting updates. I'm attempting to get into some sort of rhythm. It's going to take me sometime. |
September is the month I plan to do more on WDC. I'll begin with the BCOF prompts on Monday. I'll post more over the next few days. |
I'll have to make a to do list. I have stuff to make up here on writing. Com. I don't know how much l can do before January. I'm hoping to have the financial issues cleared up before the end of September, so that I can remain here. |
Happy Monday! I'm not sure how happy Monday is, but since I haven't shed any tears it isn't a sad Monday. I don't seem to be worried about anything and I posted my goals list. My main goals this week concern posting to my blog. I don't know how I'm going to remain where I am, if I can't find a way to pay the 80% I thought Medicare was supposed to pay. I'll have to deal with that this week. The weird thing is I'm not worried about it right now. Maybe something is in the works I don't know about.88 |
