I've found a couple of projects to occupy me while I post up on the couch watching Living History shows. My oldest daughter was raised by her (racist abusive asshole) father and there was very little contact between us until she moved out at 17. It's awkward trying to get to know someone that shouldn't be a stranger. There's so much she doesn't know about me that I'm afraid I'll leave out something important. But I don't want to overwhelm her with information either. I was thinking about the kids being little when I tripped over an ah-ha moment strolling down memory lane. A lot of school years started off with an "All About Me" project as a way for kids to get to know each other. That's what I want! Something not too heavy with information, but interesting enough to keep her attention. I'm not ready to write my memoirs just yet, but I do want to record certain moments. So I'm just going to make my own book of questions, fill it in, and give it to her at Christmas. Too cheesy? The second thing is another type of book. These kids of mine need to work on their writing this year. We've done research papers, expository and informative writing, and I even had them pen a few old fashioned letters. The one thing I missed...creative writing! I've almost got my mini poetry course done, but I also want them to try writing a short story or two. Then NANOWRIMO isn't too far away, so I'm gathering my thoughts to make a workbook for them to use. I don't even have to do much of the nerdy research I enjoy because I've consumed so much information about writing already. Look there, I'm writing two books! 🤣 Okay, maybe not real books, but I feel useful and I'm a little excited to get started. |

but seems to be okay today. I worry about my poor circulation, scrub my toes with a soft bristle brush, watch discoloration come and go. I probably need new arteries or veins but hey... "Heathcare" USA (enough said?). I may be better off trying something here in Thailand. But still... wish I lived in a country that had adequate patient based healthcare. Thailand and Taiwan mostly do, but I can't access it. First world systems like Europe, Canada and Australia do, but again, I can't access it.
