No, the quick ending stays. Every interactive needs an instant ending somewhere near the start, as a prank on the reader.

I would like to suggest that Slippery Sale Option Three be treated as a blank and get replaced with a new chapter that eventually finds Will being affected by the book. It was too early for a dead end in my opinion. Also it allows for anyone who is looking to start a new line early in the story.

And, no, it wasn't me this time that dropped the GPs.

I keep forgetting to reply to the suggestion above.

I add new choices to old chapters on an ad hoc basis: usually when I am working in that branch, and I see a nearby chapter, or an earlier chapter, where I would have wanted more choices originally. I don't go looking for places to increase the number of choices.

But if someone knows of a chapter that could use more choices, and would like to see them added, just drop me a line.

Wait! And in this poll I will be posting the entire chapter ... Doesn't everyone always go back and read the previous chapters to refresh their memories?

Question RE: "Invalid Item"

- What's your (Seuzz or anyone) opinion of adding more options to some chapters especially the very old ones that were limited before it was raised to five options? Not every chapter would work to get more, but there are some that another option may have been (still could be) possible.

I haven't gone to look for examples, but I may if I have some time.

From what I've heard from a CC at YouTube, not very good. It's basically forcing you to restart again, except you get a few advantages from your earlier progression. A change for the sake of it, not because it was necessary.

You tell me if that's the case, though. I recall "1MT'ing" with Civ1 on a SNES emulator during college almost through 4 AM, so I know the allure.

I 1MT-ed yesterday for, like, 7 hours into the dead of night. I was so mad at myself.

In my defense, I was trying to get through the "Age of Antiquity" to the "Age of Exploration" because I wanted to see what this new "Age of" mechanic is like.

Yeah... Don't wanna be the bringer of bad news, but you'll most likely take a hiatus sooner more than later. I know about the power of "1MT", and it is utterly captivating. (At least I'll probably have to wait until it releases on Switch or Switch 2, so I'm kinda safe.)

I'm double-tackling both Wizardry 1 remake (on the Switch, of course) and a modded Final Fantasy VI (on an emulator on my phone; coincidentally, it's the farthest I've gotten in FFVI, since I could finish the game at any time, but I'm distracted grinding everyone's levels to tackle one of the new bosses the mod added while figuring out everyone). Curiously enough, both are basically pick-and-go, which isn't eating too much of my free time.

A Girl, But Probably Not the One You Expected

So we've been doing a lot of polling here lately. "BoM Poll: The Professor Has Visitors"

asked you to pick a weekend activity for Will and his friends; "BoM Poll: Mystery Box"

asked you to blindly pick a person or group of people, with consequences unknown.

Well, those consequences have just arrived:

* Interactive: "Big Mouth at the Lake"

* Public: "Big Mouth at the Lake"

Will and his friends have gone out to Russian Lake, and they've run into Cassie Harper there.

For the record, here are the final, adjusted results of the two polls that sent things here.

The last poll was interesting only for its one-sidedness. "Go swimming" won the Free Vote going away, and so handily that even some heavy GP voting for "See what Carson and James are doing" couldn't overcome its advantage. As ever, Free Vote percentages are in brackets.

* Go swimming: 46.4% [56.5%]
* See what Carson and James are doing: 39.3% [26.1%]
* See "Vengeance Brigade": 7.1% [8.7%]
* See "The Fly": 7.1% [8.7%]
* Stay in and play games: 0.0% [0.0%]

OTOH, "The Mystery Box" ended with a major upset. There was a lot of GP voting, but most of those went to Cassie, and that advantage was big enough to overcome a hefty lead by a different choice in the Free Vote:

Cassie Harper: 33.7% [14.9%]
The Garner sisters: 26.7% [36.2%]
The RPGers: 20.7% [17.0%]
Stephanie Wyatt: 11.9% [19.1%]
Laurent and his sports clowns: 6.9% [12.8%]

And now there's another poll, to see what comes next: "BoM: Big Mouth at the Lake"

EDIT [3/30]: No chapter on this Sunday, as there is a poll running. So there are two new chapters from "Double Double" up: "Double Double (6)"
