Hi, I'm Sam. Basic introductions first, I guess. My husband, Matt, and I met in the Marine Corps. We have 3 cats, Batman, aged 5, Marco, aged 10 (or 4, depending on who you ask), and Bear, aged 3. We have a dog named Piper who is 1 and a half, and a chinchilla named Chalupa, who is 4 months. We both work retail, I work at a pet store while Matt works not pet-related retail. Piper has had a few surgeries in the 6 months we've had her. She has warts on her head and arm that we thought were just warts. The vet thought they were cancerous and did a biopsy, but, thankfully, it is psoriasis and can be treated. Marco has severe dental issues from before we got him and has been in the hospital as well. He has been treated with a depo shot once every 3 weeks for a few months now, but seems to be getting better. Batman and Bear are just your regular jerk cats. Batman wakes us up by sitting on our heads until we wake up and Bear only wants attention when we're on the bathroom. Chalupa is new to the household, but is already expensive. We have to keep the temperature lower than 70 and keep the dehumidifier on. |
